Vegas trades Grigori Denisenko to Nashville for future considerations

The Vegas Golden Knights announced Tuesday that they have dealt Grigori Denisenko to the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations.
Denisenko has appeared in 42 American Hockey League (AHL) games with Vegas’ affiliate the Henderson Silver Knights where he has tallied 10 goals and 14 assists for 24 points in that frame. Denisenko ranks fourth in assasits and fifth in goals and points among Silver Knights’ skaters.

— Vegas Golden Knights (@GoldenKnights) February 18, 2025The Novosibirsk, Russia native was claimed off waivers by Vegas in Oct. 2023, from the Florida Panthers. Over the last two seasons, Denisenko has appeared in seven NHL games with Vegas.
Denisenko was originally drafted No. 15 overall in the 2018 NHL Draft. He started his career off hot with four assists in seven games in 2020-21, but injuries limited him to just 18 points in 30 AHL games the following year. Denisenko currently has a cap hit of $775,000 which lasts until the end of the 2024-25 campaign.
Denisenko went on to play in 26 games across three seasons for the Panthers, recording seven assists and appearing in one game during the 2023 Stanley Cup Final.
Prior to coming over to North America, Denisenko played two seasons (2018-19 and 2019-20) with Yaroslavl Lokomotiv of the KHL, posting 10 goals and eight assists 18 points in 63 regular season games. Denisenko was also part of Loko Yaroslavl’s two MHL championship team’s, winning in 2017-18 and 2018-19.
Nashville currently sits seventh in the Central Division with a 19-28-7 record and 45 points through 54 games. The Predators return from the 4 Nations Face-Off break on Saturday Feb. 22, when they take on the Colorado Avalanche, they will also play Sunday against the New Jersery Devils.
