Which top UFA is most likely to wear a new sweater next season?

Earlier Thursday, Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli released his Top 50 players who could reach unrestricted free agency this offseason, a group headlined by Toronto Maple Leafs right winger Mitch Marner, while fellow forward Brock Boeser of the Vancouver Canucks slotted in second on the list.
Originally chosen 23rd overall by Vancouver in the 2015 NHL Draft, the 28-year-old Minnesotan has spent part of nine seasons with the Canucks in which he has totaled 203 goals and 227 assists for 430 points over 547 career contests. Last season, Boeser reached a career-high 73 points coming in 81 games, while through 68 outings in 2024-25 he has picked up 24 goals and 22 assists for 46 points. Per PuckPedia, Boeser is in the final year of a three-year pact that carries a $6.65-million annual average value.
On Thursday’s episode of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Seravalli and Tyler Yaremchuk chatted about the upcoming free agent class, highlighting Boeser as the most likely of the top available talents to have a new home next summer.
Tyler Yaremchuk: Let me throw this your way. Marner, Boeser, John Tavares, Matt Duchene, Neal Pionk, Sam Bennett, Nikolaj Ehlers, Brad Marchand, Ivan Provorov, and Aaron Ekblad are your top-10 [pending free agents]. Out of those 10, which one would you say is most likely to be rocking a new sweater next fall?
Frank Seravalli: Boeser. I think he’s a really consistent goal scorer. I think the way that this has played out with the drama and the comments, he had been really loyal to Vancouver and they squandered some of that and put him in a spot where, his eyes were open to moving on anyway, and when that was said, I don’t want to say it closed the door because anything is possible, but I think that made it more likely than not that he is moving on.
