While people are excited to see what’s going to happen across the Stanley Cup Playoffs, there’s a critical game set to take place in Canada’s heartland.

After a disappointing end to the first game of the Central Division Final, the Winnipeg Jets are desperate to get back on the winning track or face the possibility of having to go on the road against the Dallas Stars down 2-0 in the best-of-seven series.

The one thing the Jets had going for them so far in the playoffs thus far was their ability to win at home. However, after ending up on the wrong end of a 3-2 decision in Game 1 on Wednesday night, Winnipeg’s strength has seemingly withered away. Now, in a seemingly do-or-die game, the Jets need to find a way to snag a win before heading down to Texas.

On Friday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Tyler Yaremchuk explain why Game 2 between the Jets and Stars is so important.

Tyler Yaremchuk: Winnipeg/Dallas is the one for me where Game 2 feels a little bit more like a swing game than the other Game 2’s. If Winnipeg comes out and is urgent and Connor Hellebuyck looks good, I view that series a lot different. Whereas if Dallas comes and is way more intense and is all over him for long stretches again, then it’s like, down 2-0 at home ice. It’s easy to point to that and say your hoop. But the way this game plays out…that’ll really change my view of this series, maybe more than other game twos.

Of course, another big thing, Josh Morrissey and Dylan DeMelo were wearing their usual practice jerseys, indicating that they’re on a pairing. So, if the Jets can get Morrissey back for this hockey game, that will be another massive boost.
