Wild sign Dylan Ferguson to one-year, two-way contract
On Tuesday, the Minnesota Wild signed goaltender Dylan Ferguson to a one-year, two-way contract for the remainder of the 2024-25 season. The deal carries an NHL AAV of $775,000 and a minor-league salary of $130,000.

The Wild also placed Ferguson on waivers for the purpose of joining the team’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Iowa Wild.
Ferguson has been with Iowa for most of the 2024-25 season, signing an AHL deal with the club in September. The 26-year-old has appeared in seven games with the Wild, posting a 3-4-0 record with a 3.30 goals-against average and a .900 save percentage. He also made one start for the organization’s ECHL affiliate, the Iowa Heartlanders.
Ferguson hasn’t played since a 37-save loss against the Chicago Wolves on Dec. 21. He’s lost each of his last four starts in the AHL, having not won a game since Nov. 22.
Ferguson has made just three appearances in the NHL. After making a relief appearance with the Vegas Golden Knights during the team’s inaugural season in 2017-18. The Lantzville, British Columbia native made his first NHL start with the Ottawa Senators in March 2023, playing in two games with the Sens before the season’s end.
In three NHL games, Ferguson has a 1-1 record with a 2.81 GGA and a .929 SV%. In 36 AHL games, he has a career record of 18-11-0, with a 2.72 GAA, a .911 SV% and two shutouts.
Last season, Ferguson was overseas, playing for Dinamo Minsk of the Kontinental Hockey League. He posted a 9-9-0 record with a 2.51 GAA and a .904 SV%.
Minnesota (25-11-4) is second in the Central Division, two points behind the first-place Winnipeg Jets.
Iowa (11-18-2) is sixth in the AHL’s Central Division, eight points out of a playoff spot.
