Larsson (undisclosed) will play vs. New Jersey on Monday after leaving last game due to injury.

Larsson exited Seattle's previous game due to an undisclosed injury after only playing 12:03 time-on-ice but will return to action on Monday against his former club, the New Jersey Devils. The 32-year-old Larson has been a stabilizing force on Seattle's blue line this season, averaging 20:38 time-on-ice and recording seven points (1G / 6A), 83 blocks, and 55 hits in 40 games.

Adam Larsson will continue to patrol Seattle's blueline for four more seasons after the towering defensemen signed a four-year, $21 million contract extension ($5,250,000 AAV) on Tuesday. The 31-year-old is entering his 14th NHL season and fourth with Seattle after putting up four goals, 18 points, a +6 plus/minus and 55 PIMs in 81 games in 2023-24.

The Kraken have signed Adam Larsson to a four-year, $16 million contract.

Larsson was a UFA but was selected by the Kraken in the Expansion Draft and promptly signed to a four-year deal with a $4.0M AAV cap-hit. In his five seasons with the Oilers, Larsson averaged four goals, 13 assists, 256 hits and 159 blocked shots per 82 games. He doesn't bring a lot of offence to the Kraken but will be a steady part of their top-4 in their first year.

The Oilers have placed Adam Larsson on long-term IR with a broken bone in his foot.

The movement to LTIR means that Larsson will miss at least 24 days but his timeline should become more clear when the Oilers disclose what his injury is. Larsson took a Quinn Hughes shot off of his foot in Wednesday’s win and it could be related to that. For a corresponding move, the Oilers sent Ethan Bear to Bakersfield (AHL) and recalled Evan Bouchard.

The Oilers have placed Adam Larsson (upper-body) on IR.

The hits keep coming of the struggling Oilers, who lost their No.1 goaltender earlier in the week and now lose a top-pairing D-man. It’s unclear when Larsson sustained the injury, but for the time being they will re-insert Eric Gryba into the lineup and not recall anyone from the AHL.
