Ekblad (concussion) will return to the Panthers' lineup on Tuesday.

Ekblad has missed the last four games with a concussion, but will return to the Panthers’ lineup vs. the Hurricanes. Ekblad has scored 10 goals with 11 assists (21 points) in 67 games this season. Expect Jakub Kindl to be a healthy scratch.

Ekblad (concussion) will miss 7-10 days.

Ekblad was forced from Saturday’s game in Tampa Bay with a concussion and is expected to miss at least one week—which is four games for the Panthers this week. This is a tough loss for the Fantasy playoffs because Ekblad has four points (2G / 2A) and a ridiculous 51 shots in his last 11 games.

Ekblad (neck/concussion) “is going to be fine” said head coach Gerard Gallant.

Ekblad was sent home after suffering a neck injury and a reported concussion at the World Cup of Hockey. Ekblad is back skating in Florida and is expected to be ready to anchor the Panthers’ top-pair in the season opener.

The Panthers signed Aaron Ekblad to an eight-year, $60 million contract extension.

Ekblad, 20, will carry a $7.5 million cap-hit in the 2017-18 season, which would make him the sixth highest paid defenseman as of now. The 6-foot-4, 216 lbs. blueliner has had two great years to kick off his NHL career—posting 39-points (12G / 27A) in 2014-15 and 36 points (15G / 21A) last season. Ekblad will be the cornerstone of the Panthers franchise through the 2024-25 season.

Ekblad (concussion) is expected to return to the Panthers lineup on Friday.

Ekblad has missed the last four games with a concussion he suffered on a hit from Matt Hendricks on January 10th. Ekblad is expected to play vs. the Blackhawks, but Willie Mitchell will not play due to an undisclosed injury. Ekblad has 19 points (9G / 10) and a plus-17 rating in 42 games this season.

Ekblad (illness) returned to Panthers practice on Monday.

Ekblad missed the first game of his NHL career on Saturday, but he seems to be over the illness and should definitely be back in the lineup on Thursday vs. the Jets. Ekblad is having a sensational season for an 18-year-old, registering 11 goals and 23 assists (34 points) in 65 games.

Panthers have been "very impressed" with Ekblad.

Ekblad has played in seven games and has two more games left before the Panthers have to decide whether or not to burn the first year of his entry level contract and keep him or send him back to juniors. "Unless he really collapses, I don't see him going anywhere," Panthers general manager Dale Tallontold NHL.com. "I've been very impressed with his composure and maturity. Once the regular season started, he was a different guy." Ekblad has averaged 21:54 TOI (2:22 PP TOI/GP) and recorded two assists with a minus-1 rating so far.

The Florida Panthers signed 2014 first overall pick Aaron Ekblad to a three-year entry level contract on Wednesday.

Ekblad was named the Ontario Hockey League’s (OHL) most outstanding defenseman during the 2013-2014 season, ranking first among the league’s blueliners with 23 goals and tied for fifth with 53 points (23-30-53). The 6-foot-3, 213-pound defenseman became just the third player in his 18-year-old birth year to earn the OHL’s most outstanding defenseman honor in the past 20 years. The Belle River, Ontario, native is expected to crack the Panthers opening day roster and should be an immediate fantasy contributor.
