The Devils signed Henrique to a 6-year, $24-million contract.

The 23-year-old forward had a great rookie year in 2011-12 when he posted 51 points (16 G, 35 A) in 74 games. However he was only able to muster up 16 points in 42 games in the lockout shortened season. With the departure of Ilya Kovalchuk, the Devils needed to re-sign Henrique. He should be considered as a good bounce back candidate heading into the 2013-14 season.

Henrique is stiill recovering from surgery on his left thumb. This is his first time on the ice with the team. Been skating week and a half.

Henrique still isn't ready to play but this is a step towards playing and could be back in the lineup as early as next week. Monitor his status going forward.

Adam Henrique (left thumb surgery) skated again today and said it is going well. "A couple more weeks."

Henrique had an amazing rookie regular season and then an even more impressive playoff run. If you have room to stash him on your roster until he is healthy, I think it would be a good idea. He should have no problem producing once he returns.

Devils center Adam Henrique, who required surgery last month to reattach a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb, got the cast off his hand this week and now will require three and a half to four weeks of rehab, general manager Lou Lamoriello said today.

Henrique will likely miss a week or two of the new shortened season

Henrique has been playing with the Albany (N.Y.) Devils during the lockout, and the American Hockey League club announced Wednesday that he will be sidelined four to six weeks because of thumb surgery.

There's an outside chance that Henrique could be available in January so this shouldn't impact his draft position - should the season start in January.

Devils rookie Adam Henrique had a three-inch scratch a some swelling in his right cheek after tonight’s 3-0 loss in Philadelphia from being struck by the stick blade of Flyers defenseman Nicklas Grossmann at 9:45 of the third period.

Henrique is a bit bumped and bruised but he probably won't miss any playing time. He has 15 goals and 46 points in 62 games.

Rookie center Adam Henrique will be back in the Devils’ lineup today against Pittsburgh after missing the last three games with a groin strain.

Getting Henrique back in the lineup is great news for the Devils. The rookie has been centering the top line for most of the season, scoring 13 goals and 34 points through 43 games. Look for the Devils to ease him back into the lineup.

Henrique won't play again Thursday. DeBoer said they're being cautious with his groin strain so it doesn't turn into something long term.

Expect the Devils to remain cautious with their top center. The rookie has been centering the top line for most of the season, scoring 13 goals and 34 points through 43 games.
