Pelech has not recorded a point in five games and has just six points (1G / 5A) in 26 games with the Islanders. Pelech will be replaced by Scott Mayfield tonight.

Pelech is expected to miss a few games with an upper-body injury that he suffered in Monday’s win over the Flames. With Pelech out, Scott Mayfield will play in his second game of the season.

Pelech, 22, has registered two assists in nine career NHL games (all in 2015-16) and this marks his first call-up of 2016-17. The 2012 third round pick (65th overall) has been recalled because Travis Hamonic is expected to miss one month with a broken arm. Pelech, who has four points (1G / 3A) in 10 games with Bridgeport this season, is expected to make his season debut on Monday.

Pelech, 21, did not record a point in two games with the Islanders this season, but has six points (2G / 4A) in 26 games with the Sound Tigers. He has been recalled because Johnny Boychuk was injured on Thursday.

Pelech was a plus-1 with one shot in 13:19 in his NHL debut last Friday. He will come out of the lineup tonight in favour of Marek Zidlicky.

Pelech, 21, was a third round pick (65th overall) in 2012. Pelech has two goals and two assists in 14 games with Bridgeport this season. He is expected to replace Brian Strait and make his NHL debut on Tuesday.
