Georgiev will start Wednesday vs. the Penguins.

Georgiev stopped 41 of 44 shots in the Rangers win over the Hurricanes on Monday. He has basically forced the Rangers to consider starting him as he continues to stand tall despite facing a barrage of shots. In his first four NHL starts, Georgiev has faced an average of 39.5 shots per game and has turned aside 93 percent of them. Tonight may be the stiffest test of his young career with the two-time Stanley Cup Champs coming to MSG.

Georgiev will start Saturday in Edmonton.

Georgiev allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Rangers loss to the Wild on February. Georgiev has been extremely busy in his first two NHL games, stopping 71 of the 77 shots (.922 SV%) that he has faced. He makes for a decent spot-start option against an Oilers team that has lost nine of their last 12 games coming into Saturday.

Georgiev will start against the Wild on Friday.

Georgiev was stellar in his NHL debut last night, allowing just two goals on 40 shots in a losing effort against the Canadiens. Coach Alain Vigneault said Rangers goalie coach Benoit Allaire wanted some more time with Henrik Lundqvist to work on his game, so Georgiev will get the call for the second straight night. He has a 12-11-2 record and a .908 SV% in 31 games for Hartford (AHL) this season. He draws a difficult matchup tonight against the Wild.
