Carrier was forced to leave Wednesday's game after getting hit in the head by a Tyler Seguin shot. Head coach John Hynes said that Carrier was "up and moving about" and travelled with the team to St. Louis last night. He'll be evaluated ahead of Thursday's contest.

Carrier is expected to miss at least three weeks with a lower-body injury that he suffered midway through Thursday's game vs. the Stars. Carrier joins a lengthy list of Predators skaters that are expected to miss at least a couple of weeks.
Carrier, who was selected in the fourth round back in 2015, spent most of his fourth professional season in Milwaukee (AHL), amassing 37 points (5G / 32A) in 55 games, which was tied for seventh-best among AHL blueliners. He also appeared in three games with the Predators but failed to get on the scoresheet. With Dan Hamhuis, Korbinian Holzer and Yannick Weber all set to become unrestricted free agents this offseason, there is a path for Carrier to be a full-time third-pairing defenseman in Nashville next season.
Carrier played in two games during his call-up but heads back to the AHL now that Dante Fabbro is back in the lineup. Carrier has four goals and 21 assists (25 points) in 34 AHL games this season.
Carrier was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Matt Irwin in Winnipeg. Carrier did not record a point in 8:49 TOI in his season debut in Anaheim last Sunday.
