Emelin will fly with the team on their upcoming west coast road trip. His rehab is reportedly going well and he could be back in two weeks if all continues to progress the way it is now.

Emelin will return to the ice this week and the Canadiens will conduct more tests on his injured right shoulder. He is expected to be back in March at some point.

Emelin suffered the injury on Wednesday against the Senators and will miss at least the next seven days and then will be re-evaluated after that. At this time, the extent and nature of the injury are unknown.

Emelin missed the last two games with a lower-body injury, but will replace Nathan Beaulieu in the lineup tonight vs. the Bruins. Emelin will be paired with PK Subban and on the point of second power-play unit. He has two assists and a plus-2 rating in the first two games of the season.

Emelin sat out of Saturday's game and will miss tonight's as well. Expect Andrei Markov to skate with P.K Subban again. Consider Emelin day-to-day.

Emelin was a big part of the Canadiens defense last season, so his return to the lineup would provide a big boost. He had 12 points in 38 games in 2012-13. Montreal is expecting to get Emelin back in late November.

Emelin underwent reconstructive knee surgery in May.

This is a tough break for the Habs. Emelin is their most physical defenseman and plays close to 20 minutes a night. The newly acquired Davis Drewiske will likely see an increase in minutes with Emelin out.

Nathan Beaulieu has been recalled because of the injury to Emelin.

No word as to the extent of the injury. He scored three goals and seven points with a minus-18 rating in 67 games.

Emelin draws back into the lineup tonight. The rookie has two goals and six points in 58 games.

Expect Emelin to stick in the lineup. The bruising defender has an assist in 30 games.

Emelin was spotted wearing a full cage this morning which indicates he could play tonight. The rookie took a puck off his face during yesterday's practice. He has an assist through 29 games.
