Anders Bjork News
Bjork made his season debut vs. the Maple Leafs on Tuesday but gets sent back to the AHL because the Bruins are off until Saturday. How the injured Bruins recover over the next few days will determine whether or not Bjork will return for the weekend.
Bjork has enjoyed a great start to 2019-20, leading Providence and tied for fourth line league scoring with eight points (3G / 5A) in seven games. Bjork will likely draw into the Bruins lineup vs. Toronto and comes up with five goals and 10 assists (15 points) in 50 career NHL games.
Bjork has one goal and two assists (three points) in 20 games with the Bruins this season. Bjork heads back to the AHL, where he has four points (2G / 2A) in nine games.
Bjork was a healthy scratch for the last two games but will replace Sean Kuraly on Monday. Bjork, who has one goal and two assists in 19 games this season, will skate on the third line with Joakim Nordstrom and Noel Acciari.
Bjork is on a 15-game goal-less streak, picking up just one assist over that span. He is expected to be replaced by Colby Cave, who was recently recalled from Providence (AHL).
Bjork was a healthy scratch in Edmonton on Thursday, but will replace Ryan Donato in the Bruins lineup in Vancouver. Bjork has scored just one goal and one assist in five games this season.
Bjork has one goal and one assist while averaging 12:09 TOI/GM this season, but will be replaced by Danton Heinen in the lineup on Thursday.
Bjork sat out as a healthy scratch during the Bruins 7-0 loss to the Capitals last night, but will draw in for Chris Wagner tonight in Buffalo. Bjork had 12 points (4G / 8A) in 30 games with the Bruins last season.
Bjork left Tuesday’s game after being cross-checked in the arm/shoulder by Francois Beauchemin. Post-game head coach Bruce Cassidy said that he’ll miss some time but the Bruins were unsure of a timetable for his return. Peter Cehlarik was recalled to take Bjork’s spot on the roster.
Bjork had a nice start to the season, but has just 12 points (4G / 8A) through 28 games so he will head to Providence to work on his craft. He has never appeared in an AHL game after going straight from the University of Notre Dame to the NHL this fall.
After a hot start to the season, picking up seven points (3G / 4A) in his first nine games, Bjork has recorded just one goal and four assists (five points) in his last 19 games. He will sit tonight with David Krejci (lower-body) back in the lineup.
Bjork has missed the last seven games but will play this afternoon in Philadelphia. There’s no work who Bjork will replace but he re-enters the lineup with three goals and six assists (nine points) in 16 games this season.
Bjork will miss his seventh consecutive game with an undisclosed ailment, but he was on the ice this morning and the Bruins believe he could be back on Saturday. Bjork has nine points (3G / 6A) in 16 games this season and could play a key role upon his return because David Krejci, Jake DeBrusk and Peter Cehlarik are also sidelined with injuries right now.
Bjork was “nicked up” Saturday vs. Toronto and is doubtful for Tuesday’s game in Anaheim. The Bruins didn’t rule Bjork out, but it seems unlikely that he will join the team in Anaheim and could miss the entire road-trip.
