Nilsson and Evgeni Nabokov had split each of the last nine starts, but tonight Nilsson will get a second straight start for the first time since March 15-18. He allowed four goals on 33 shots in a 4-0 loss to the Blue Jackets on Sunday. Tonight vs. Ottawa, he will look for a repeat of last Wednesday--he stopped 35 shots in a 2-1 victory over the Senators.

He has won each of his last three starts with a 1.95 GAA and .932 SV%. This recent stretch of play is by far is best of the season, but still not enough to hinge your fantasy championship on.

Nilsson stopped 23 of 24 shots in a win over the Devils on Saturday. Nilsson has won three of his last four starts while allowing 12 goals on 106 shots (.889 SV%). Tonight, he will face Senators in Ottawa. Nilsson has gone 2-3-0 with a 3.72 GAA and .868 SV% on the road this season.

Nilsson gave up four goals on 28 shots in a 5-4 win over the Hurricanes on Tuesday. The Islanders seem content just alternating Nilsson and Evgeni Nabokov, but neither have fantasy value at this crucial part of the season. His 3.55 GAA and .880 SV% don't exactly give you confidence in him at this point in his career.

Nilsson allowed six goals on 22 shots in a loss to the Wild last Tuesday. Despite Evgeni Nabokov's shutout on Saturday, the Isles will turn to Nilsson in Carolina tonight. He has gone 3-5-2 with a 3.50 GAA and .882 SV% this season. Don't take a chance on the 24-year-old in the middle of the fantasy playoffs.

Nilsson stopped 33 of 34 shots in a 4-1 win over the Sabres on Saturday. It was Nilsson's best outing of the season, and something he will look to build off of tonight vs. Minnesota. He has never faced the Wild before, but has gone 2-1-2 with a 2.92 GAA and .910 SV% at Nassau Coliseum this season.

Nilsson allowed four goals on 23 shots in also to the Flames on March 7. He has posted a 3.56 GAA and .892 SV% in his last three starts and one relief appearance. The 23-year-old is not a great option, but has a juicy spot-start matchup with the Sabres in town.

Nilsson allowed two goals on 38 shots in a win over the Jets on Tuesday. It was a nice bounce-back for Nilsson who allowed five goals in his previous outing. He draws a strong matchup tonight vs. a Flames team who are missing seven regulars from their lineup.

Nilsson allowed five goals on 34 shots in a loss to Florida on Sunday. Despite the rough outing, the Islanders will give Nilsson another shot tonight in Winnipeg. In six starts and eight appearances this season, Nilsson is 1-3-2 with a 3.68 GAA and .878 SV%. Those are not pretty numbers, look elsewhere for a spot-start tonight.

Nilsson, who was recalled on Saturday, stopped 15 of 16 shots after replacing Evgeni Nabokov in Saturday's 6-1 loss to New Jersey. Nilsson has gone 7-1-0 in his last eight games with Bridgeport (AHL) and is 1-2-2 with a 3.45 GAA and .883 SV% with the Islanders. He draws a strong spot-start matchup vs. Panthers, but without John Tavares, Islanders goalies become tough trust.

It will be a battle of the back-up in this Monday matinee. Nilsson has not started a game since December 9 when he allowed five goals on 36 shots in a 5-2 loss to the Ducks. Overall with the Isles this season he is 0-2-2 with a 3.63 GAA and .873 SV%. He would be a risky spot start vs. the Flyers today.

Nilsson allowed five goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Blues on Thursday. It will be the third time in the last four games that Nilsson has been given the nod instead of Kevin Poulin. He is still search for his first win as he is 0-1-2 with a 3.26 GAA and .883 SV% in his first three starts. He has yet to catch a break matchup-wise, and won't again tonight when he takes on the Ducks.

Nilsson allowed three goals on 34 shots in a 3-2 overtime loss to the Penguins. It was a good start for the young netminder, who stood his ground against a very talented team. Sidney Crosby took the game over and there was not much Nilsson could do. He draws a third straight difficult matchup tonight when the Isles are in St. Louis.

Nilsson gave up three goals on 30 shots in a loss to the Capitals. It was his first NHL start since the 2011-12 season, but he did not look out of place against a quality Washington team. Nilsson will have to be great again with the 18-9-1 Pittsburgh Penguins in town.

Kevin Poulin is struggling mightily right now, so a strong outing from Nilsson tonight could go a long way in earning starts down the road.
