Vasilevskiy surrendered three goals on 28 shots in the Lightning’s win in Edmonton last Saturday. Since returning from a fractured foot, Vasilevskiy has gone 3-0-1 with a 2.70 GAA and .930 SV%. The 24-year-old has been outstanding this season, especially at home, where he has gone 7-3-0 with a 2.30 GAA and .932 SV%.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 38 shots in the Lightning’s win in Vegas on Tuesday. Vasilevskiy was given Thursday night off but will be back in net tonight in Edmonton. Since returning from injury, Vasilevskiy has stopped 121 of 129 shots (.938 SV%), picking up right where he left off. Vasilevskiy is a must-start whenever he gets the nod.

It was another busy night for Vasilevskiy, who wasn’t able to stand on his head like he did vs. the Maple Leafs last Thursday. Vasilevskiy comes into Tuesday’s game at 3-0-2 with a 2.53 GAA, .921 SV% and one shutout on the road this season.

Vasilevskiy comes into Tuesday’s game at 3-0-2 with a 2.53 GAA, .921 SV% and one shutout on the road this season.


Vasilevskiy will return from his fractured foot and start for the first time since November 10th. Prior to getting hurt, Vasilevskiy was tied for the league-lead in wins (9), 10th in GAA (2.29) and tied for 12th in SV% (.927). He is one of the best goalies in the NHL but does draw a difficult matchup with the Maple Leafs in town.


Vasilevskiy was placed on IR on Thursday and sent to Tampa Bay to be re-evaluated. The original report of a fractured foot was confirmed and the Lightning’s No.1 netminder will miss at least one month. Louis Domingue is expected to take on a heavy workload until at least mid-December.

Vasilevskiy is out indefinitely with an injury that he suffered in Wednesday’s practice. Vasilevskiy has returned to Tampa Bay to be re-evaluated and the Lightning should provide a detailed timetable after that. Louis Domingue is expected to start on Thursday and could see a heavy workload while Vasilevskiy is out.

Vasilevskiy may have fractured his left foot according to TSN’s Darren Dreger. Although unconfirmed by the Lightning, a fractured left foot would keep Vasilevskiy sidelined for a lengthy period of time and Louis Domingue would have to step-up as the team’s No.1 netminder. The Lightning should provide an update later on Thursday.


Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 37 shots in the Lightning’s win over the Islanders on Thursday. Vasilevskiy has won three in a row while posting a 1.67 GAA and .953 SV% and is now 9-2-1 with a 1.98 GAA, .937 SV% and one shutout. He is a must-start regardless of matchup right now.

Vasilevskiy allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Lightning’s 5-2 win over the Oilers on Tuesday. Vasilevskiy has gone 5-1-0 with a 1.84 GAA, .938 SV% and one shutout in his last six starts. The 24-year-old has been outstanding this season and is a must-start tonight with the Islanders in town.

He is also 4-2-0 with a 1.99 GAA and .935 SV% on home-ice and the Lightning will host an Oilers team that played last night.
