Bitetto was injured in a fight with Blackhawks’ forward Jordin Tootoo on Friday and will miss 4-6 weeks. With Bitetto out, Yannick Weber will land a permanent role on the Predators’ blueline.
Bitetto suffered an upper-body injury in the Predators’ win over the Blackhawks on Friday. With Bitetto listed as day-to-day, Yannick Weber will get into the lineup on Saturday.
Bitetto, 25, has appeared in the Predators last 11 games and has one assist in 17 games for the club in 2015-16. Paired with seven games during three recalls a season ago, the Island Park, New York, native has one point (1A) in 24 career NHL games, all with Nashville.
Bitetto, 25, had one goal, three assists and 26 PIMS in six games during his conditioning stint. He returns to the Predators where he has registered no points in eight career games.
Bitetto played while Barret Jackman and Ryan Ellis were sidelined, but with both of them back, Bitetto has been sent to Milwaukee. He had 30 points (4G / 26A) in 70 games in the AHL last season.
Bitteto had no points in seven games with the Predators, with him getting sent down, Victor Bartley will be back in the lineup on Tuesday.
The Predators thought they would have Cody Franson in the lineup tonight, but with his immigration issues the Predators had to recall Bitetto to be the sixth defenseman tonight.
Bitetto, 24, has 25 points (2G / 23A) in 46 games with Milwaukee this season. His recall is likely bad news for Mattias Ekholm, who was injured on Sunday. Bitetto made his NHL debut on January 17th in Detroit.

Bitetto, 24, leads Milwaukee defensemen in points with 19 (2G / 17A) while appearing in all 38 of the team’s games in 2014-15. There is no word whether Bitetto will make his NHL debut tonight or not.
Bitetto just completed his second season at Northeastern University, scoring four goals and 15 points in 34 games.
