Kopitar left Tuesday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Kopitar took an elbow to the face early in Tuesday’s loss to the Blues. Kopitar played just 5:04 before retiring to the dressing room for the evening. There was no update on his status following the game, but expect the Kings to provide the severity of his injury within the next 24 hours.

Kopitar (upper-body) is on the ice for pregame warmups; should be in the lineup today.

Kopitar missed the last three games with an upper-body injury, but should be back in the lineup today vs. Carolina. He had just two goals and one assist in the first eight games, but with Gaborik also back on his wing tonight, expect both of them to get going.

Kopitar (upper-body) is expected to return to the Kings' lineup on Sunday.

Kopitar has missed the last three games with an upper-body injury that he suffered vs. Columbus last Sunday. If he returns, he will take Jordan Nolan's (suspended) spot in the lineup and will return to his line with Dwight King and Dustin Brown. Kopitar has been off to a slow start, posting just two goals and one assist in his first eight games.

Kopitar (upper-body) likely will not play on Tuesday.

Kopitar was on the ice for the Kings morning skate, but sated as an extra. With Kopitar out, Mike Richards will move up to play between Dwight King and Dustin Brown, but the Kings will have to play with just 11 forwards and six D because Kopitar is out and they are strapped up against the cap because Slava Voynov essentially counts as a healthy scratch despite being suspended indefinitely. Kopitar is likely out for the first two games of the road trip.

Kopitar (upper-body) will travel with the Kings to Philadelphia.

Kopitar left Sunday's game with an upper-body injury and did not return. Kopitar was rocked by Tim Erixon and retired to the dressing room shortly after. The Kings say they are "going to be careful" with Kopitar's injury, so there is a good chance he won't be available on Tuesday vs. the Flyers. A more detailed injury report is expected to be available tomorrow.

Kopitar left Sunday's game with an upper-body injury and will not return.

Kopitar played 10:39 and recorded one shot before retiring to the dressing room for the night. Kopitar has had a rough start to the season, so this injury will not make owners happy. Expect an update after the game or on Monday.

Kopitar pronounced himself good to go for Tuesday night’s game at Colorado.

Kopitar was expected to miss 2-4 weeks when he first strained his knee.... Forget that! He only missed the Kings season opener. This is fantastic news for people who took Kopitar because you probably got him later than you should have because of the injury. Kopitar is a must-start in all formats.

Kopitar was originally expected to miss 2-4 weeks, but looks like he's going to be back sooner than expected. Good news for owners who got Kopitar much later than they should have. If you still have a draft... Don't let him drop too far.

Los Angeles Kings centre Anze Kopitar is expected to be out three weeks after suffering a minor knee injury while playing in Sweden Saturday

Kopitar was playing in a lower level Swedish league when sustaining the injury. He is expected to miss time if the season resumes in mid-January posing a problem for the Kings who had most players opt out of playing during the lockout.

Kopitar’s absence has not been explained yet, but it’s likely a “maintenance day,” particularly given the number of big hits Kopitar has taken of late. The fact that Kevin Westgarth is practicing with the first line suggests that Kopitar will be back tomorrow.

Doesn't sound like something to worry about yet. Kopitar hasn't missed any playing time since taking a big hit from Brendan Morrow.

Darryl Sutter’s only update on Anze Kopitar was that Kopitar “will probably be fine. He’s got a bloody nose.” Kopitar took a huge hit, in the upper chest/shoulder area, from Dallas’ Brenden Morrow with less than eight minutes remaining in the third period and did not return.

Losing Kopitar for a long amount of time would be a big blow to fantasy hockey owners and the Kings. The dreaded C word has yet to be used to describe his ailments which should be considered a good thing.
