Bishop allowed two goals on 30 shots in a 4-2 win over the Canucks on January 1. Despite posting a fantastic 21-5-3 record with a 1.89 GAA and .935 SV%, Bishop was snubbed from Team U.S.A. He has developed into an elite fantasy goalie option this season and is definitely a must-start against the Flames tonight. He is 9-3-2 on the road.

Bishop was banged up for five goals on 31 shots (.839 SV%) in a 6-5 shootout loss to the Capitals on Tuesday. The Lightning did not play great and the game was a constant parade to the penalty box for both teams. As I always say, a matchup with Alex Ovechkin is dangerous and boy was that ever true on Tuesday. The Russian sniper potted four of the Capitals five goals. He draws a slightly easier matchup against a Red Wings team struggling to close out games.

Anders Lindback will start tonight, but not because Bishop is hurt, because it was scheduled. Bishop or coach Jon Cooper offered much insight on the injury other that to say "I'm OK" and "he is fine. It sounds like the Lightning dodged a bullet and Bishop could be in net on Friday. Monitor his status tomorrow and Friday just to be sure that he is fine.

Bishop allowed one goal on 41 shots on Friday, however that goal came in overtime which means it was the game-winner. It was a tough loss for Bishop, who has now dropped three straight. It is not surprising that the Lightning are struggling to score without Steven Stamkos. They have just six goals in their last four games and until they start scoring, their success hinges on Ben Bishop's efforts in net.
