The Devils have assigned Blake Pietila to Binghamton (AHL).
Pietila had one assist in seven games with the Devils during his call-up. Kurtis Gabriel and Nathan Bastian have been recalled to replace Pietila and Miles Wood, who was moved to IR. The 25-year-old has 12 goals and 10 assists in 34 AHL games.

Pietila was recently called up after scoring 12 goals with 10 assists (22 points) in 34 games with Binghamton (AHL). Pietila, who will skate with Pavel Zacha and Stefan Noesen, has just three points (1G / 2A) in 19 career NHL games. He will replace John Quenneville in the lineup.
