Pirri suffered a concussion on Thursday vs. the Coyotes. It is a tough break for the young centre who had three goals in his last three games. He is day-to-day.

Pirri, 23, will replace Dave Bolland tonight after Bolland suffered a lower-body injury on Friday. Pirri had seven goals and seven assists (14 points) in 21 games after being traded to the Panthers midway through last season.
After being acquired from the Blackhawks in March, Pirri, 23, recorded seven goals and seven assists (14 points) in 21 games with the Panthers. Florida added a number of forwards this offseason, so it remains to be seen where Pirri will fall in their lineup.
The Panthers, who acquired Pirri on Sunday, are expected to move some veterans out of town by Wednesday's trade deadline, so Pirri will likely become a permanent fixture in their top-6/9 for the remainder of the season.
Pirri, 22, has tallied 11 points (6G / 5A) in 28 games with the Blackhawks this season. He has also registered 24 points (10G / 14A) in 25 games with Rockford (AHL). The Toronto, Ontario, native was originally selected by the Blackhawks in the second round, 59th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.
Pirri is back with the Blackhawks after being sent down in early January. In 16 AHL games, Pirri recorded four goals and nine assists (13 points). He totalled 11 points (6G / 5A) in 24 games with Chicago this season. He could find himself centering the second line with Patrick Kane and Brandon Saad, making him a strong add in 12-plus team leagues.
Pirri posted six goals and five assists and a plus-6 rating while averaging 12:14 in 24 games with the Hawks.
Pirri will play on a line with Marcus Kruger and Brandon Bollig. He didn't record a point in 9:29 TOI in his first appearance on Saturday.
Pirri led the AHL in scoring last year with 22 goals, 53 assists (75 points) in 76 games. He was one of the last cuts in training camp but will be in the lineup tonight vs. Buffalo. He will skate on a line with Patrick Sharp and Marian Hossa, a line that definitely gives him some fantasy value.
Pirri, who missed most of the preseason with an injury, was one of the last roster cuts the team made heading in to October 1st's opening game. Had he not gotten injured, it's safe to assume he would have made the team from the start. This is the chance of a lifetime for Pirri, who led the entire American Hockey League in scoring last season. If he can stick, he could be up permanently. To do that, he'll have to play responsible hockey on both ends of the ice.
Pirri led the Blackhawks AHL affiliate in assists (53) and points (75) in 76 games last year. The Hawks are looking for someone to center Marian Hossa and Patrick Sharp on their second line. Pirri was a candidate heading into camp but he has been dealing with an undisclosed injury all camp. He will be on the second line tonight and if he plays well, he just might be penciled into that spot come October.
