Elliott (lower-body) will miss at least two weeks.

Elliott is listed as week-to-week but now we know he will miss at least 14 days which means he will likely miss at least the next seven games. Jake Allen is expected to get the bulk of if not all of the starts while Elliott is out. Martin Brodeur started practicing with the Blues today and could be signed to back-up Allen.

Blues’ head coach Ken Hitchcock said that this is an injury than Elliott has had before and has recovered quickly from, but for now he is labeled as week-to-week. This puts the ball fully in Jake Allen’s court. At some point you had to figure one of them was going to go down and now Allen becomes a full-fledged NHL starter. If he is available in your league, scoop him up immediately.

Elliott had to leave the game after he appeared to get his right leg twisted underneath him in the second period. Elliott left with a 2-0 lead and the Blues would go on to lose 3-2 in a shootout. Jake Allen gets a huge fantasy boost while Elliott is sidelined. Expect an update on Elliott on Wednesday.

Elliott made 24 saves on 26 shots in the Blues’ 3-2 win over the Senators on Saturday afternoon. Tonight, he will get another crack at Ottawa, who are on the tail-end of a back-to-back. Given he just beat them and the fact that he has a 1.90 GAA and .927 SV% on the year, he is a must-start tonight.

Jake Allen lost in the Blues last game and Elliott has been their number-1all season; plus the Senators are his former team. Elliott stopped 15 of 17 shots in a 2-0 loss to the Bruins on Tuesday. Despite the Blues outshooting the B’s badly, Tuukka Rask stood on his head at the other end. He has a 1.89 GAA and .928 SV% through 12 starts, so he can be trusted this afternoon.

Elliott tuned aside 33 of 35 shots that the Predators threw at him in Saturday’s 2-1 loss. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for Elliott, who will make his 10th start of the year on Tuesday. He sits at 5-3-1 on the year and should have no problem making it 6-3-1 with the last place Sabres visiting town.

Elliott surrendered three goals on 39 shots in a win over the Rangers on Monday. He was given the last two games off with Jake Allen playing well, but he is back tonight, riding a four-game personal winning streak. Elliott has a 2.06 GAA and .920 SV% through eight starts and makes for a good fantasy start when he gets the nod.

Elliott stopped 27 of 29 shots in the Blues shootout win over the Avalanche on Saturday. Elliott has won three in a row with a 2.26 GAA and .914 SV%. He finished October with a 4-2-1 record and a GAA under 2.00 (1.96). We gave you his ridiculous numbers over three years with St. Louis in the preseason, so this should not surprise you. Start him vs. the Rangers.

Elliott surrendered three goals on 28 shots in the Blues' 4-3 win over the Stars on Tuesday. Elliott has been great as usual, posting a 1.98 GAA and .917 SV% in six starts. With a stellar defines in front of him he is a safe option every time he gets the call.

Elliott surrendered two goals on 24 shots in the Blues win over the Blackhawks on Saturday. Elliott has been great, posting a 1.78 GAA and .922 SV%, but has won just two of five starts. Elliott is getting a ton of help from the Blues' stout defines---he is only facing 23.2 shots per start so far. He will be in tough against a good Dallas squad on Tuesday.

Elliott surrendered three goals on 25 shots in a 3-0 loss to Anaheim last Sunday. The defeat moved Elliott to 1-2-1 with a 1.73 GAA and .924 SV% in four starts this season. He will make start number-5 tonight vs. the Blackhawks. He was 10-1-0 at home last season and is already 1-1-0 this year.

Elliott stopped 23 of 24 shots in a 4-1 win over the Flames last Saturday. With four days off between games, Elliott will be back between the pipes tonight in Los Angeles. He is 1-1-0 with a 2.02 GAA and .918 SV% in his first two starts. The Kings have averaged three goals per game in their first four contests.

Elliott gave up three goals on 25 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Rangers in Thursday's season opener. Despite the loss, the Blues will turn to Elliott again on Saturday when they take on the Flames. He gets a much easier matchup in his second outing of the year and should make for a great fantasy start on a busy Saturday.

Blues coach Ken Hitchcock has been saying for months that Brian Elliott would open the season as the team’s No. 1 goalie, so it should be no surprise that he will be in net Thursday against the New York Rangers. Elliott had a rough preseason, going 1-1 with a 3.21 GAA and .862 SV% in 56 minutes of playing time. That said, it is only the preseason and Elliott has been great in three seasons with the Blues. St. Louis will be a strong two-way team again this season, making Elliott a high-end number-2 option.

The Blues have signed Brian Elliott to a three-year contract worth $7.5 million.

Elliott was set to become a unrestricted free agent in the summer, but this signing means that Ryan Miller will not be back in 2014-15, while Elliott is signed through the 2016-17 season. Elliott was 18-6-2 with a 1.96 GAA and .922 SV% with the Blues this season.
