Chad Johnson will be in goal vs. the Bruins.

Johnson allowed five goals on 32 shots in the Sabres loss in New York on January 25th. Robin Lehner started the last two games, including last night in Montreal, so they will turn to Johnson tonight on home ice. It will be his second start against his former team—in the first meeting he allowed three goals on 33 shots in a 6-3 win.

Tonight, Johnson will face the Coyotes for the second time this season—he stopped 18 of 20 shots in a win on December 4th. Coming off of a strong outing on Saturday, Johnson makes for a reasonable spot-star option tonight.

Johnson has not registered a win since Boxing Day and he’s giving up a combined 10 goals on 109 shots (.908 SV%) in his last three games. He draws a brutal matchup vs. the Capitals, so there are better options available.

He draws a tough matchup tonight, but in his first game against the Blackhawks, he stopped 26 of 28 shots in a 3-2 shootout loss.

Johnson has played well as of late, but draws a terrible matchup vs. the red-hot Braden Holtby. Johnson comes in at 5-6-0 with a 2.67 GAA and .912 SV% on the road this season.

Johnson has had back-to-back unreal starts, stopping 76 of the last 77 shots that he has faced (.987 SV%). The Sabres continue to impress, but they draw a difficult matchup this afternoon vs. the Blackhawks—Chicago has won three of four while allowing just three goals against.

Johnson has played well as of late, winning two in a row while stopping 55 of 57 shots (.965 SV%). He draws a fantastic matchup tonight vs. a Coyotes team playing their second game in as many nights.

Johnson stopped 27 of 28 shots in the Sabres win over the Hurricanes last night. Johnson has stopped 39 of the last 40 shots (.975 SV%) that he has faced. Despite Linus Ullmark taking over as the Sabres’ No. 1 briefly, Johnson’s recent string of strong play earns him starts on back-to-back nights.

Johnson stopped all 12 shots that he faced after replacing Linus Ullmark in Wednesday’s loss to Nashville. Johnson has fallen behind Ullmark on the depth chart but he will start tonight vs. the Hurricanes. Johnson has gone 4-7-1 with a 2.58 GAA and a .904 SV% this season.

Johnson allowed two goals on 32 shots in the Sabres loss to the Sharks last Saturday. Linus Ullmark has started three of the last four, but Johnson will start tonight in Dallas. It is a terrible matchup as the Stars are the best offence in the NHL, so Johnson should be avoided tonight.

Johnson made 30 stops on 31 shot attempts in the Sabres win in Tampa Bay on Tuesday. Johnson, who has made nine starts this season, sits with a 4-6-0 record and a 2.75 GAA and .896 SV%. Tonight he will take on the Sharks who are 8-8-0, coming off of a 3-2 win over the Red Wings last night.

Johnson stopped all 10 shots that he faced after replacing Linus Ullmark in Buffalo’s loss to Tampa Bay last Thursday. Ullmark has started the last four games, but Johnson will start tonight in Tampa Bay. The Lightning have surprisingly lost six of eight while averaging just 1.38 goals per game.
