Jordan Binnington was added to the NHL's COVID-19 protocol list, so Lindgren will join the Blues in Tampa and is expected to serve as Ville Husso's backup.
Lindgren allowed three goals on 30 shots in the Canadiens win over the Hurricanes on February 29th. Lindgren is 2-3-0 with a 3.37 GAA and .884 sV% in his first five NHL starts this season and will get another start tonight in Florida. Tonight he'll take on a Blackhawks team that played last night but they've won five of their last six road games while averaging 4.17 goals for per game.
Lindgren allowed two goals on 35 shots in the Canadiens loss in Carolina on New Year's Eve. It was a solid season debut for the 26-year-old. He faced the Red Wings in 2017, stopping 25 of 27 shots in a 3-2 win. Montreal has somehow lost their first two games vs. Detroit this season, so they'll lean on Lindgren tonight on the tail-end of a back-to-back to try and make that 1-2.
Carey Price has started seven straight games but has given up 11 goals in his last two games, so Lindgren will make his season debut in Carolina. The 26-year-old netminder was 7-6-2 with a 2.67 GAA and .893 SV% in 16 AHL games before being called up. He has previously suited up in 18 NHL games, going 8-8-2 with a 2.89 GAA and .912 SV%.

He has played very well in nine NHL starts this season, going 3-4-2 with a 2.13 GAA, .933 SV% and two shutouts. He makes for a solid option against an Islanders team that has lost four in a row (0-3-1).
