Chris Driedger News
Driedger stopped 28 of 30 shots in the Panthers' win over the Blackhawks on January 17th. With COVID-19 related postponements and Sergei Bobrovsky's return, Driedger has only made one start so far this season. On Thursday he'll take on a Blue Jackets team that is 2-2-3 through seven games while averaging the seventh-fewest goals per game (2.57).
Driedger stopped 33 of 34 shots in the Panthers win over the Canadiens on Saturday. Since returning from injury, Driedger has gone 1-0-1 while stopping 59 of the 62 shots (.952 SV%) that he's faced. He has yet to lose on the road in two tries but draws a tough assignment in St. Louis, where the Blues have won five straight while scoring 3.40 goals per game.
Driedger stopped 26 of 28 shots in the Panthers loss to the Bruins on Thursday. The loss moved Driedger to 5-2-1 with a 2.29 GAA and .932 SV% on the season and tonight he'll make his 10th start of the season. Tonight he faces a Canadiens team that has gone 3-4-0 while being outscored 21-to-18 in their last seven road games.
Driedger has been out since January 16th but will return to the net tonight vs. the Bruins. Driedger played extremely well for the Panthers from late-November up until he got hurt, going 5-2-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .932 SV%. Still, he has a terrible matchup tonight with the Bruins in town and so far they've scored four goals in each game against Florida in 2020.
Driedger has been sidelined by a lower-body injury since mid-January and was recently sent to Springfield on a conditioning stint. He struggled in his only AHL game, allowing five goals on 33 shots in a 6-3 loss to Bridgeport. He could be in-line to start Thursday with Sergei Bobrovsky (lower-body) listed as day-to-day.
