Ceci (ankle) is on-track to return to the lineup next week.

Ceci has missed the last 12 games with an ankle injury but is set to return to the Maple Leafs lineup at some point last week. While Ceci is still out, a combination of Timothy Liljegren and Calle Rosen will remain on Toronto's blueline.

Ceci (ankle) has been placed on IR and will be re-evaluated in one month.

Ceci suffered an ankle injury on Wednesday and will miss at least one month. He'll go on IR and be re-evaluated at that time and the Maple Leafs will update his status again. In the meantime, Timothy Liljegren was recalled from the Marlies to take Ceci's spot on the roster.

The Maple Leafs have acquired Cody Ceci, Ben Harpur, Aaron Luchuk and a 2020 third-round pick from the Senators for Nikita Zaitsev, Connor Brown and Michael Carcone.

Ceci is a pending RFA but the Maple Leafs were able to move some big money and term by shipping Zaitsev to Ottawa. Ceci is a former first-round pick but has never reached the potential he flashed in the OHL. He is coming off of a 26-point (7G / 19A) season, which matches his career-high for points.

The Senators have placed Cody Ceci (upper-body) on injured reserve.

Ceci likely suffered the upper-body injury vs. the Flyers on Wednesday. Ceci played a season-low 19:33 TOI vs. the Flyers, suggesting he left the game in the third period. With Ceci out, Christian Jaros has been recalled from Belleville (AHL).

Cody Ceci
Ceci (undisclosed) will be in the Senators lineup on Tuesday.

The Senators called Ceci questionable on Monday but he put the question marks aside when he took part in this morning’s gameday skate. Ceci has been held pointless in seven straight games and has just eight points (5G / 3A) in 40 games this season.

Cody Ceci
The Senators re-signed Cody Ceci to a two-year deal worth $5.6 million ($2.8M AAV).

Ceci, 22, had his best offensive season of his young career in 2015-16, collecting 10 goals and 16 assists (26 points) in 75 games. The former 15th overall pick has 56 career points (18G / 38A) in his first 205 NHL games. Ceci will spend the 2016-17 season on the Senators’ second pairing behind Erik Karlsson.
