The 32-year-old has been solid since signing a big contract in the offseason, recording a .919 SV% and 2.42 GAA to go along with a 4-5-1 record. He faces a Pittsburgh Penguins team that is in the middle of a downfall at the moment, losing seven straight while only scoring more than three times once during the span.

Since signing in the off-season from Colorado, Kuemper has been incredibly solid, posting a 4-3-0 record to go along with his .922 SV% and 2.39 GAA. He has enjoyed a solid start to his Washington tenure, posting a .919 SV% and 2.48 GAA to go along with his 4-3-0 record. He faces Carolina who is coming off a 4-3 overtime win over Florida and averages the sixth most amount of shots per game (36.4).
