Kuemper will start on Saturday vs. the Avalanche.

Kuemper stopped all 16 shots that he faced in the Wild's 5-0 victory over the Avalanche on Thursday. The Wild were dominant from start to finish, setting a franchise record with 48 shots. They will get a chance to start the season 2-0 with another win over the Avalanche tomorrow. After Kuemper's season debut, expect another strong outing.

Kuemper went 2-0 with a 2.20 GAA and .916 SV% in three preseason outings. With Josh Harding out, Kuemper had to battle Niklas Backstrom to earn the right to start and evidently he won. This is still expected to be a fluid situation with the starting goalie being determined as a game-to-game decision, but at least for now it looks like Kuemper has the upper-hand.

Kuemper has been out for the entire second round after getting hurt late in game 7 vs. Colorado. With Ilya Bryzgalov posting a 2.22 GAA and .899 SV% through the first five games, the Wild will stick with him in the must-win game 6 at home. Should Bryz falter, Kuemper will be there to relieve him.

Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in a huge 5-2 win over the Avalanche in game 6. Kuemper will start tonight in his first career game 7. Kuemper ranks second in the NHL with a 1.53 GAA and fourth with a .934 SV% this postseason, stopping 99-of-106 shots in parts of five games.

Kuemper allowed four goals on 35 shots in Saturday's 4-3 overtime loss. In his three starts in this series, Kuemper has allowed just five goals on 69 shots (.927 SV%). He has solidified the Wild's crease once again and will play a massive role in continuing their season tonight. Four of the five games this series have been one-goal games, so expect another tightly contested game tonight in Minnesota.

Kuemper suffered an upper-body injury in practice this morning and will not back-up Ilya Bryzgalov.

Bryzgalov will be backed up tonight by Rob Laurie, a 43-year-old who in the last calendar year has served as an emergency goalie for the Anaheim Ducks and most recently the Vancouver Canucks against Anaheim in January. He has been signed to a pro tryout. Kuemper is listed as day-to-day.

Kuemper was yanked after allowed three goals on 12 shots in a loss to the Canucks last night. Ilya Bryzgalov did not do any better, so the Wild will go back to Kuemper tonight. They likely want to see how he will face the adversity of losing four in a row and being pulled last night. It won't be easy in St. Louis and you should look at the other available goalie options.

Kuemper allowed three goals on 30 shots in a 3-2 loss to the Red Wings on Saturday. He has lost three games in a row despite posting a 2.27 GAA and .920 SV%. Tonight, the Wild will roll him back out there when they host the Canucks. Kuemper has gone 7-2-2 with a 1.79 GAA and .936 SV% at Xcel Energy Center this season.

Kuemper will get the start vs. the Red Wings on Saturday.

Kuemper gave up three goals on 28 shots in a 4-1 loss to the Bruins on Monday. All of a sudden, Kuemper has lost four of his last five, despite posting a 2.34 GAA and .921 SV%. On Saturday, he will face a Red Wings team who are banged up, but still playing good hockey as they battle for a 23rd straight playoff appearance.

Kuemper stopped 28 of 29 shots in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Blue Jackets on Saturday. It was a tough-luck loss for Kuemper, but he has stopped 57 of 59 shots that he has faced in the last 125 minutes of hockey. He has a tough matchup vs. a Bruins team who have won eight games in a row.

Kuemper stopped 29 of 30 shots in Thursday's 2-1 win over the Rangers. Kuemper sits at 12-4-3 with a 2.25 GAA and .922 SV% on the season and will continue to start the vast majority of games until he falters. The 23-year-old gets the nod vs. the Blue Jackets at home where he is 7-1-1.

Kuemper surrendered three goals on 26 shots in a 4-3 shootout loss to the Oilers on Tuesday. The Wild blew a three-goal first period lead in this one and are still searching for their first win since the trade deadline. Kuemper will go head-to-head with another young netminder as Cam Talbot gets the start for the Rangers tonight at Xcel Energy Center. Kuemper is 6-1-1 with a 1.84 GAA and .933 SV% at home this year.

Kuemper was finally given a night off on Sunday, but will be back in the cage tonight vs. Edmonton. He allowed four goals on 38 shots in a loss to the Stars on Saturday. The loss snapped a five-game winning streak for the young netminder. He has gone 2-0-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .976 SV% against the Oilers this year.

Kuemper stopped 21 of 23 shots in a win over the Flames on Monday. What a story this kid has become. He has five in a row and 11 of his last 16. Kuemper boasts a 2.19 GAA and .924 SV% this season, filling in admirably for Josh Harding and Niklas Backstrom. The Wild acquired Ilya Bryzgalov on Tuesday, but this is Kuemper's team until he falters.

Kuemper stopped 30 of 31 shots in a win over the Canucks on Friday. He has won four straight games while allowing just four goals and posting a .962 SV%. One of Kuemper's five losses this season came on Feb. 1 he allowed four goals on 32 shots in a 4-3 OT loss.

Kuemper stopped all 21 shots he faced in a 2-0 win over the Oilers last night. It was his ninth win in 15 starts and his second shutout of the season. Kuemper continues to answer the bell as the Wild's starter, however they are likely to address the issue at the trade deadline. Tonight he will face a Canucks team who are coming off of a shutout of their own on Wednesday.

Kuemper allowed two goals on 18 shots in a win over the Predators in the Wild's last game before the Olympic break. He has seven of his 12 consecutive starts and holds a 2.46 GAA and .917 SV% in 15 games this season. On Thursday he will face an Oilers team he beat 4-1 on Jan. 16.
