Perron left Friday’s game with an upper-body injury and did not return.

Perron was labeled as day-to-day after the game, clouding his status for Saturday’s tilt in Arizona. Perron played just 9:58 TOI before exiting Friday’s game following a collision with Sharks forward Timo Meier. If Perron can’t play on Saturday, look for either Oscar Lindberg or Brendan Leipsic to move onto a line with Erik Haula and James Neal.

The Blues have signed David Perron to a two-year deal worth $7.5 million ($3.75M AAV).

Perron, 28, was a first round pick of the Blues back in 2007 and spent the first six years of his career in St. Louis. Since then he has played for the Oilers, Penguins and Ducks, but has returned to the Blues. He is coming off of a 12-goal, 24-assist season with the Pens and Ducks and should slide right back into the Blues’ top-9.

Perron (shoulder) will return to the Ducks lineup for Game 1.

Perron has been sidelined with a separated shoulder since March 20th, but returns just in time for the start of the playoffs. The 27-year-old has enjoyed life in Anaheim, collecting 20 points (8G / 12A) in 28 games since being traded by Pittsburgh. He will skate on the left side of Ryan Getzlaf with Chris Stewart on the other wing.

David Perron
Perron (shoulder) will return to Anaheim; expected to be out week-to-week.

Perron suffered the injury in Sunday’s win in Winnipeg. He will head back to California and is expected to miss the remaining four-games of the Ducks’ road-trip. Head coach Bruce Boudreau believes that Perron is week-to-week, so we may not see him on the ice for a few weeks. Expect Nick Ritchie to see increased playing time while Perron is out.

Perron (upper-body) missed practice on Monday; questionable for Tuesday’s game in Montreal.

Perron suffered an upper-body injury in the Ducks win over the Jets on Sunday. He played just 5:07 TOI before retiring to the dressing room and his status for Tuesday’s game is in doubt. Consider him day-to-day until the Ducks announce further information.

David Perron
The Ducks have acquired David Perron and Adam Clendening from the Penguins for Carl Hagelin.

Perron will be a unrestricted free agent at the end of the season. Despite playing the majority of the season with Sidney Crosby, Perron had just 16 points (4G / 12A) in 43 games. He could slide into Hagelin’s spot in the Ducks top six, but he remains a low-end wing option in standard 12-team leagues.

Perron will not play this afternoon because of an illness.

There was no word prior to warmups that Perron was dealing with an illness, but he will sit this afternoon, so Patric Hornqvist will replace him on the first line. Perron has no points and is a minus-5 in his last five games. Monitor Perron’s status prior to Sunday’s contest.

David Perron
Perron will play on the top-line with Sidney Crosby in his Penguins debut.

There is no word on how all four lines will shakeout or who will come out of the lineup, but we do know that Perron will start his Penguins career on a line with Crosby. He leaves the dumpster fire in Edmonton to play with the best player in the World, not a bad deal for Perron. His fantasy value is obviously on the rise.

Perron will make his Penguins debut on Saturday vs. Montreal.

Perron, who was acquired from the Oilers on Friday, did not play last night vs. Tampa Bay but will play tonight vs. the Canadiens. Because of the back-to-back the Penguins did not have a morning skate, so there is no word on who Perron is going to play with tonight. You would have to think that they will ease him in and they could move him around between Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin to see where he fits best.

The Penguins have acquired David Perron from the Oilers for a 2015 first round pick and Rob Klinkhammer.

The Penguins have battled injuries all season long, so they have shipped a draft pick to a rebuilding team for a top-6 forward. Perron had a career high-28 goals and 57 points last season, but has just 19 points (5G / 14A) in 38 games this season. His fantasy value is certainly on the rise now that he moves from the 27th ranked offence to the sixth best.

David Perron joined the Oilers for practice on Friday. He skated on a line with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle but it’s not yet known whether he will play.

Perron has missed his last four games. After initially missing the team’s game against Toronto with an illness, a neck injury got aggravated and he has been out for the past three as a result of that. The Oilers play at 1 p.m EST so we will find out if Perron will play shortly.

David Perron
Perron (neck) is set to join the team and should return to the lineup on Saturday.

Perron sat for the last four games with a sore neck. If he does play tomorrow, it will be the first time that the Oilers top-6 forwards have all played together this season. Perron has two goals and seven assists in his first 13 games as an Oiler.

David Perron
The Oilers have placed David Perron on IR retroactive to October 27.

Perron was scheduled to have an MRI on his neck on Friday, so the illness he was dealing with seems to have passed, but now he is dealing with a neck injury. He will miss his second straight game tonight when the Oilers take on the Red Wings. He is eligible to return for Edmonton's next game, Tuesday vs. Florida.
