Nikitin missed Wednesday's game after being injured in Monday's win vs. Toronto. He will slide in for Tim Erixon who was assigned to Springfield.

Nikitin could offer a decent streaming option vs. Edmonton if he returns.

Nikitin left Monday's game after playing just 5:36 and did not return. This is a tough break for Nikitin who had a goal and four assists in his last seven games. Dalton Prout will step in on the blueline.

Perron missed the last four games, he will play with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Jordan Eberle. Perron has two goals and seven assists in 13 games.

The Sherbrooke, Quebec native had 25 points with the Blues last season, scoring 10 goals and 15 assists in 48 games. He had a career high 50 points in 2009. Perron has three more years left on his contract at a cap hit of just over $3.8 million.

Nikitin is still nursing his lower body injury.

It looks like Nikitin will be a healthy scratch tonight when the Blue Jackets take on the Minnesota Wild. He has three assists and is a plus-2 in his last seven games.

Nikitin who was placed on IR with an unspecified injury was back on the ice today. It is unclear when he will return to action but he is getting closer.
