Tokarski left the Sabres to attend to a personal matter and will miss the final week of the season. With Tokarski and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen both out, Michel Houser could serve as their No.1 for the rest of the season.

The Rangers don’t play until Saturday so they are using this time to send Alexandar Georgiev to the AHL to get some playing time. Tokarski figures to be sent back to the AHL before Saturday’s game.
Tokarski appeared in 27 games with San Diego (AHL) last season, going 17-8-1 with a 2.93 GAA and .898 SV%. The 28-year-old has had limited success in his brief NHL career, going 10-12-5 with a 2.84 GAA and .904 SV% in 34 career games between the Lightning, Canadiens and Ducks.
Tokarski was serving as John Gibson’s backup while Jonathan Bernier was sidelined, but with Bernier set to return on Tuesday, Tokarski will return to San Diego.
Tokarski, 26, appeared in just two games with San Diego (AHL) after being acquired from the Canadiens—he was 1-1-0 with a 2.35 GAA and .920 SV%. Tokarski is 10-12-5 with a 2.85 GAA and .904 SV% in 27 career NHL starts.
Tokarski has gone 1-3-0 with a 3.18 GAA and .878 SV% with the Canadiens this season and 3-3-4 with a 2.84 GAA and .909 SV% with St. John’s (AHL). Acquiring Tokarski gives the Ducks four NHL-read net minders, John Gibson, Frederik Andersen, Anton Khudobin and Tokarski. The chances of the Ducks actually carrying all four seem slim, so expect them to have another move up their sleeve, likely moving Khudobin so he can play in the NHL.
Tokarski was 1-3-0 with a 3.18 GAA and .878 SV% in his time with the Canadiens. Montreal acquired Ben Scrivens this morning, so he will become their new backup with Tokarski going back to St. John’s. Tokarski has gone 2-3-3 with a 3.20 GAA and .900 SV% with the IceCaps this season.
Tokarski stopped all four shots that he faced after replacing a struggling Mike Condon on Saturday. Without Carey Price, the Canadiens have struggled as of late, but Tokarski will be back in goal in Nashville. Tokarski has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.95 GAA and .893 SV% with the Habs this season—he will face a Predators team that has lost six of nine.
