Eric Comrie was in the starter's crease at Tuesday's morning skate.

With Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen recovering from an illness, the Sabres have called Devon Levi, who is expected to serve as the backup to Eric Comrie on Tuesday. Comrie has been inconsistent through six games this season (1-4-0), posting an ugly 3.99 GAA and .864 SV%. and has failed to record a quality start since his season debut on October 21st. The Sabres have struggled to score, losing three straight contests, and, as such, are +119 home underdogs against a rolling Detroit Red Wings team that has won five of their last six outings (5-1-0).

Eric Comrie will start Saturday vs. New Jersey.

Comrie will take the crease for the first time in four games as he takes on New Jersey on the road Saturday. The 28-year-old has struggled as Buffalo's third goaltender this season, with his 1-2-0 record, 2.62 GAA, and .898 SV%. He will take on the New Jersey Devils, who are trying to right the ship after three straight loses and are 12th in the NHL in goals per game.

Eric Comrie will start Friday vs. Buffalo.

Comrie has not played since October 27 after suffering a lower-body injury but will be available to play on Friday. Before his injury, Comrie played well, posting a 2.45 GAA and .914 SV% in three games (1-1-0). The Sabres have leaned heavily on the tandem of Devon Levi and Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen in his absence but the Sabres will give Comrie the opportunity to immediately rediscover some of his early season pedigree as the starting goalie against the Winnipeg Jets.

Comrie has been placed on the injured reserve with a lower-body injury after recording a 2.45 GAA and .914 SV% in three games (1-1-0) and is expected to miss at least a few weeks. With Devon Levi still unavailable, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen has filled in admirably, posting a 2.84 GAA and .915 SV% along with one shutout in three games (2-1-0) and should continue to be the number one goaltender for the Sabres in the interim.

Eric Comrie (lower-body) will miss at least a few weeks.

Comrie had filled in as the starting goalie with Devon Levi already sidelined and recorded a 2.45 GAA and .914 SV% in three games (1-1-0) but will now be sidelined for at least a few weeks with a lower-body injury. With Levi still unavailable, Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen will likely take on the majority of goaltending duties for the Sabres. Devin Cooley will serve as the Sabres backup in the interim.
