Erik Burgdoerfer News

Burgdoerfer has one goal and one assist in 10 games with Belleville this season. The 29-year-old defenseman has just four games of NHL experience, but could get into a game this week with Mark Borowiecki suspended, again.

Burgdoefer had 13 points (5G / 8A) when he was called up from Belleville (AHL) but the 29-year-old has no points in three career NHL games. He will replace Fredrik Claesson in the lineup tonight and skate with Mark Borowiecki.

Burgdoefer made his Senators debut last Tuesday but was a healthy scratch for the last two games. Burgdoefer returns to Belleville, where he has five goals and seven assists (12 points) in 45 games this season.

Burgdoerfer has recorded 10 points (3G / 7A) in 43 games with Belleville this season. The 29-year-old has been a long-time AHL and ECHL defenseman who has no points in two career NHL games.

Bugdoerfer, 27, has picked up seven assists in 22 games with Rochester this season and earned his first NHL call-up. The Sabres’ blueline got banged up over the weekend with Josh Gorges expected to miss some time and Taylor Fedun questionable for Monday’s game.
