Chytil has been limited to 10 games this season, last playing on November 2nd when he exited the game with an upper-body injury. Before his injury, Chytil was playing almost exclusively on a line with Artemi Panarin and Alexis Lafreniere.
Chytil has been placed on long-term injured reserve, retroactive to November 3rd, in a series of moves by the Rangers designed to create cap space for Adam Fox to return to the lineup on Wednesday. The 24-year-old Chytil was previously centring the Rangers' second line and had six assists, 22 SOG, and four PIMs in 10 games prior to the injury.
Chytil left the Rangers' previous game vs. Carolina after just 10:23 TOI due to an upper-body injury and was placed on the injured reserve Friday. The 24-year-old's injury leaves a big hole in the Rangers lineup as he had been centring their second line and had six assists, 22 SOG, and four PIMs in 10 games prior to the injury.
Chytil left the Rangers' previous contest vs. Chicago after just 4:48 TOI due to an upper-body injury but still managed to pick up a goal and an assist with two SOG in his limited time. There was a chance he would be forced to miss Tuesday, but he announced in the morning that he is "good to go" and will play vs. Pittsburgh.
Chytil collected one goal and one assist in 4:48 TOI before exiting Sunday's game in Chicago with an upper-body injury. After Chytil left, Barclay Goodrow moved to centre, and Vitaly Kravtsov moved up the lineup, look for that to remain if he can't go Tuesday.
Chytil missed the Rangers' previous two contests due to a lower-body injury but is expected to return Wednesday. It will be a welcome return for the 23-year-old, who has four goals, 11 points and is a +6 with 30 SOG through 19 GP this season.
Chytil will miss at least a week after exiting Sunday's loss to the Blue Jackets early with a head injury. The 23-year-old had three points (2G/1A) and nine shots through his first six games prior to the injury.
Chytil was hurt last Thursday against the Islanders and missed Saturday's game in Boston. However, he was on the ice for Monday's practice and will be a game-time decision on Tuesday, so there's a good chance he's back in the lineup vs. the Hurricanes.
Chytil suffered an upper-body injury against the Islanders on Thursday and is not expected to play Saturday in Boston. With both Chytil and Andrew Copp (lower-body) not likely to be available, look for two of Jonny Brodzinski, Greg McKegg and/or Julien Gauthier to draw into the lineup.
Chytil has been out of the lineup for the last three games but will play Wednesday vs. the Blues. Chytil has had a very quiet season offensively, scoring just five goals with seven assists (12 points) in 41 games.
