Chytil left the Rangers' previous game vs. Carolina after just 10:23 TOI due to an upper-body injury and was placed on the injured reserve Friday. The 24-year-old's injury leaves a big hole in the Rangers lineup as he had been centring their second line and had six assists, 22 SOG, and four PIMs in 10 games prior to the injury.

There was a chance he would be forced to miss Tuesday, but he announced in the morning that he is "good to go" and will play vs. Pittsburgh.
