Andersen will not be available for Thursday’s game in Buffalo as McElhinney has already been named the starter and Garrett Sparks has been recalled from Toronto (AHL). There is no word on the severity of Andersen’s injury at this point.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for Andersen, who is now just two wins from tying his career-high (35) in that category. The Stars are in town with a high-powered offence, but come in on the tail-end of a back-to-back and are under .500 (14-16-3) on the road this season.
