The Ducks placed Hampus Lindholm (lower-body) on IR.

Lindholm missed last night’s game with a lower-body injury and was moved to IR. This is another big loss for the Ducks’ blueline that is already without Cam Fowler. Lindholm’s move to IR means that he will miss at least the next two games. Brandon Montour stepped up huge in Lindholm’s absence on Sunday, collecting one goal and two assists in the overtime loss.

Lindholm (shoulder) could make his season debut on Tuesday.

Lindholm has missed the first seven games of the season but it looks like he could return earlier than expected. The Finnish defenseman was expected to be out until at least November, but he is expected to practice on Monday and just needs the “green light” to return on Tuesday. Monitor his status on Monday afternoon.

Lindholm (shoulder) is expected to be sidelined until early-November.

Lindholm is coming off of offseason shoulder surgery and the Ducks are expecting him to miss the first month of the season. Fellow defenseman Sami Vatanen is also out until November, so the Ducks brought back veteran blueliner Francois Beauchemin and their injuries open the door for a young defenseman like Andy Welkinski to make the team out of training camp.

Lindholm will make his season debut on Wednesday vs. the Blue Jackets.

Lindholm has missed the first 13 games of the season due to a contract holdout, but will be in the lineup on Wednesday. Revered as one of the best young defensemen in the NHL, Lindholm will have a huge impact on the Ducks’ blueline. Lindholm had 10 goals and 18 assists (28 points) last year and will look to build on that this season.

The Ducks have signed Hampus Lindholm to a six-year deal worth $31.5 million ($5.25M AAV).

Lindholm missed the first eight games of the season due to a contract holdout, but now that he is signed, you can probably expect him to be in the lineup over the weekend. Lindholm is one of the best young defensemen in the NHL and comes in having scored 10 goals and 18 assists (28 points) in 80 games last year.
