Lundqvist is coming off of a year in which he had a goals against average above 2.40 for the first time since 2008-09. However, a lot of that can be attributed to the team in front of him, because he still posted a .920 SV% which is close to his career .921 SV%. He remains a high-end No.1 fantasy option coming into this season, but tonight he faces and Islanders team that he was winless against last year—0-2-1, 2.20 GAA and .929 SV%. However, you drafted Lundqvist early and he should be in your lineup tonight.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 31 shots in the Rangers 4-2 win over the Penguins in game two. He was forced to leave game one, so it was nice to see him back between the pipes for Saturday’s win. He has now stopped 39 of 42 shots (.929 SV%) for a 2.25 GAA in his first four periods of the 2016 playoffs. Tonight, he starts at Madison Square Garden, where he was 22-6-3 with a 2.31 GAA and .918 SV% in the regular season.

Lundqvist did not return to the crease for the second period of Game 1 after he caught Marc Staal’s stick in the eye late in the first period. Magnus Hellberg has been recalled to backup Antti Raanta in case Lundqvist can’t play, but he practiced on Friday and as long as he can see, expect Lundqvist to start Game 2.

Lundqvist did not finish the season very well. He lost four of his final six starts while allowing at least three goals in each of those defeats. However, he finished with 35 wins, a 2.48 GAA and .920 SV% on the season and was 1-2-1 with a2.69 GAA and .917 SV% vs. the Penguins. The playoffs haven’t been great to him either—winning just 48.6 percent of his 111 career playoff starts despite posting a strong 2.22 GAA, .928 SV% and nine shutouts.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 29 shots in the Rangers win in Columbus last night. Despite starting last night, the Rangers will go to him again tonight as the Rangers try to stay ahead of the Islanders for third in the Metropolitan Division. The 34-year-old has gone 1-1-0 witha 2.01 GAA and .920 SV% in two starts vs. Tampa Bay.

The Rangers did not hold a morning skate on Tuesday because of their back-to-back. Head coach Alain Vigneault is expected to announce his starting goalie when he addresses the media around 5:30 p.m. ET.

Lundqvist got the nod last night, stopping 27 of 29 shots to break a three-game losing streak. Vigneault did not tip his hand whether Lundqvist or Antti Raanta will go vs. Tampa Bay.

He has won his last two after starting March 0-3-2 and now boasts a 3.36 GAA and .912 SV% this month. The 34-year-old has gone 1-2-0 with a 2.65 GAA and .920 SV% against Pittsburgh this season.

Lundqvist allowed two goals on 27 shots in the Rangers win over the Panthers on Monday. The win snapped a personal five-game losing streak to start March for Lundqvist, who will face the Bruins for the third time this season. He has gone 20-5-2 in 27 starts on home ice and is 1-1-0 with a 2.53 GAA and .925 SV% against Boston.

The wheels have fallen off for Lundqvist recently—he has allowed four goals in three-straight games and has gone 0-3-2 with a 3.97 GAA and .901 SV% in his last five starts. He is 1-1-0 with a 3.44 GAA and .889 SV% in his first two starts against the Panthers this season.
