Henrik Lundqvist News

Lundqvist will start tonight for the Rangers.

After losing three straight starts Lundqvist responded with two consecutive wins bring his record to 9-7-1. Lundqvist is still one of the NHL's best goalies and will continue to post solid numbers at the very least. He has a tough matchup tonight against a Flyers team who has found their way lately, winning three of their last four.

Lundqvist will start tonight for the Rangers.

Lundqvist stopped 24 of 25 shots that he faced in a 4-1 win over the Lightning in his alst start. He gets the call again tonight when the Rangers take on the Sabres. His 2.32 GAA in 14th best in the NHL while his .917 SV% is 13th. Not bad numbers but not quite what you expect from Lundqvist. The Rangers looked much better with Nash in the lineup so they should have no problem taking care of Buffalo today.

Henrik Lundqvist is starting tonight for New York.

The Rangers are a mess right now, they came into this season as one of the favorites in the East but have not looked like it at all this season. The Rangers are currently 11th in the East (8-8-2), they are 23rd in the league in scoring and their 11.1% on the power-play is tied for last in the NHL with Buffalo. Lundqvist has played well this season, he just needs some help. Tampa Bay is starting Mathieu Garon so it is safe to say New York should have the upper-hand between the pipes.

Lundqvist off ice first. As expected, starting tonight vs. Winnipeg.

Lundqvist has played fantastic lately but the Rangers can't score. He has won two of his last four while posting a 1.93 GAA and .934 SV%. Rick Nash is hurt, Brad Richards has only 5 A and is a -5 in his last 12 games, Gaborik only has 2 G and 1 A in that same span and was benched Saturday. If 'King' Henrik is going to win games he needs those star players to start scoring. He has a great matchup vs. Winnipeg.

Lundqvist was let down by his defence in a 3-1 defeat vs. Montreal. The third goal was an empty netter but 'King' Henrik still only had an .882 SV% because he let in 2 goals on only 17 shots. The Senators are banged up so it should be a good matchup for Lundqvist, but he will need to play well with Craig Anderson in the opposing net.

Lundqvist will start in goal for the Rangers.

Lundqvist has four straight while posting a .948 SV% in those four starts. He has started to look more like the Lundqvist that we've come accustomed to seeing over the years. He has a decent matchup against the Canadiens, but is a must-start regardless of matchup.

Lundqvist gets the nod for the Rangers.

Lundqvist won his last two starts and only allowed 1 goal in each game while posting a .957 SV%. The Rangers got off to a slow start to the season but have turned it around lately winning 3 of their last 4 and 5 of their last 7. Lundqvist is a must-start in all formats but will need to be in top-form tonight against Tuukka Rask and the Bruins.

Lundqvist gets the start tonight for the Rangers.

Lundqvist has been a disappointment this season, he is 3-5-0 with a 2.83 GAA and .900 SV%. These are not the numbers any of his fantasy owners expected when they drafted him. One of the big issues for Lundqvist is that the Rangers are 26th in the NHL in Goals for per game at 2.22. The Rangers as a whole are struggling, but will look to get back on track tonight vs. the Islanders.

Lundqvist got his first day off on the weekend. Lundqvist's numbers are starting to resemble that of a Vezina winner now but still not quite there. He is 3-4-0 with a 2.78 GAA and .904 SV% and is a must-start in all formats. The Rangers will go up against the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last season, the New Jersey Devils.

Lundqvist is starting tonight vs. #Flyers.

Lundqvist will enjoy his 6th straight start tonight. He is 2-3 with a 3.14 GAA and .893 SV%, not exactly the numbers you would expect to see from last years Vezina winner. He gets another crack at the Flyers tonight who he allowed 2 goals to in a losing effort last Thursday. Lundqvist is a must start.

Lundqvist off ice first. He'll get the start against Toronto #NYR ... 5th straight to open the season

Lundqvist was probably one of the first goalies off the boards in every fantasy league, so there's a lot of disappointed owners out there right now. However there is just too much skill in New York and Lundqvist is just too good for this to continue. Don't panic on 'King' Henrik, he'll get back to his Vezina form soon enough.

Henrik Lundqvist back in goal tonight.

This will be Lundqvist's fourth straight start and his second in two nights. 'King' Henrik and the Rangers finally got into the win column last night with an overtime win against the Bruins. He faces off tonight against the rival Flyers who are still searching for their first win. Should be a great matchup.

Henrik Lundqvist
No surprise Henrik Lundqvist gets the start for the 0-2 Rangers.

Lundqvist has had a slow start to the season to say the least (0-2, 4.75 GAA, .865 SV%). However he is the reigning Vezina winner for a reason, it is no time to panic with him. 'King' Henrik's first loss of the year came against the Bruins, 3-1 in the season opener. He will look to improve on that when he gets another crack at them tonight.

After riding Henrik Lundqvist's brilliant goaltending and a very strong third period to a 3-0 Game 1 win over the Devils in the Eastern Conference Finals Monday night, the Rangers will look to hold serve on home ice when they host their Hudson River rivals Wednesday in Game 2.

Tough to beat that solid Game 1.
