The Blues recalled Fraser for Friday’s game so that he could play vs. his former team in Los Angeles. Fraser was with the Kings from 2011-2014. He did not record a point and was a minus-1 in the contest. He gets sent back to the AHL to make room for Jaden Schwartz to be activated from IR.

Schwartz has missed the last seven games with a right foot injury, but will return to the lineup tonight vs. the Sharks. To make room for Schwartz, the Blues have assigned Colin Fraser to Chicago (AHL). Schwartz has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points) in 31 games this season.
Schwartz was upgraded to week-to-week on Thursday and is expected to play tomorrow. The Blues won’t have a morning skate because of the back-to-back, but Schwartz will likely skate in an optional and a decision will be made after that.
Schwartz, who injured his right foot blocking a shot on Dec. 16 in LA, has been upgraded from week-to-week to day-to-day. Schwartz will travel with the team on their west coast road-trip and could play this weekend if all goes well. In 31 games this season, he has 11 goals and 16 assists (27 points).
It is believed that Schwartz suffered the injury while blocking a Drew Doughty shot in the Blues win over the Kings last night. He will be out until after Christmas. The Blues have recalled Dmitrij Jaskin from Chicago (AHL).
Schwartz, 22, had 25 goals and 31 assists (56 points) in 80 games in his second full season with the Blues. The 2010 14th overall pick took a massive step forward last season and should be a clutch fantasy contributor this season. It took the Blues awhile to get him signed, but he will get a lot of time in training camp to get ready for the season.

The Blues did not hold a morning skate because of the back-to-back, so we will likely have to wait until 6 p.m EST when they arrive at the rink to see if Schwartz will play.
There is no word on what is ailing Schwartz but his absence from the morning skate suggests that he will not be in the lineup tonight against the Senators. Schwartz has been hot as of late posting five goals and seven assists in his last 12 games.
Looks like Schwartz will draw on to the top line while Perron finds himself anchoring Reaves and Cracknell on the 4th
Schwartz is known more for his playmaking so this could be good news for Berglund and Stewart.

Schwartz slots in for Andy McDonald, a sign the latter will not play tomorrow.
The prized prospect remains on track to make his NHL debut this weekend. Keep a close eye on him as he might be a nice sleeper down the stretch.
Schwartz probably plays on the third line to start his NHL career. Expect the youngster to give the Blues some fresh legs.
