With the Canadiens having a back-to-back he took the bench for their last game but still carries an impressive .943 SV% and 2.03 GAA as he leads Montreal Thursday. The Canadiens will run into the Coyotes who are coming off their first victory of the season with a 3-2 win over the Toronto Maple Leafs Monday.
Allen and his wife are expecting a baby, so he will sit out of Monday's game vs. the Penguins. With Allen unavailable, Cayden Primeau was recalled from Laval (AHL) to serve as Sam Montembeault's backup.
