Christiansen has sat out Columbus' last two contests as a healthy scratch but will draw back into the lineup Friday as they take on Calgary. The 23-year-old has an assist, 11 SOG and is a -4 plus/minus through 10 games of limited action this season.
Christiansen has four assists in 11 games prior to his promotion to Columbus from Cleveland (AHL). This will be his first all up of the 2022-23 season, but the 23-year-old previously played in the NHL with Columbus in 2021-22, where he played in eight games and scored one goal.
Christiansen was recalled from the AHL on Sunday and will replace Dean Kukan in the lineup on Monday. The 22-year-old has spent most of the season in the AHL, scoring 12 goals with 30 assists (42 points) in 54 games. Christiansen scored his first career goal while playing 10:43 TOI on Tuesday but will come out of the lineup to make room for Zach Werenski on Friday. Christiansen will likely head back to the AHL soon, where he has 26 points (6G / 20A) in 39 games with Cleveland.

Christiansen was an undrafted free agent out of the WHL, who signed with the Blue Jackets in 2020. The 22-year-old defenseman has tallied five goals with 13 assists (18 points) in 21 AHL games this season.
