Reimer starts for the Maple Leafs.

Reimer turned aside 43 of 47 shots in a 4-0 loss to the Canucks last Saturday. The Maple Leafs continue to give up a ton of shots on a regular basis, Reimer has seen 128 shots in his last three starts (42.7 per game). He will look to redeem himself tonight against a Bruins team who eliminated him and the Leafs from the playoffs last year.

Reimer starts for the Maple Leafs.

Reimer is 2-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .988 SV% with a shutout in his last two starts. The Maple Leafs have the best problem right now with both their netminders playing at a high level. Reimer has a 1.99 GAA and .949 SV% on the season, but has a tough mathchup vs. the red-hot Sedin's and the Canucks tonight.

James Reimer
Couple subtle hints it's Reimer vs. Canucks tonight but no declarations from either, plus no game-day skate adds to the guessing game.

This is from a reporter who was speaking with Jonathan Bernier and James Reimer, looks like we will have to wait until pre-game warmups. If it is Reimer, he is 2-0 with a 0.50 GAA and .988 SV% with a shutout in his last two starts. The Maple Leafs have the best problem right now with both their netminders playing at a high level. Reimer has a 1.99 GAA and .949 SV% on the season, but has a tough mathchup vs. the red-hot Sedin's and the Canucks tonight.

Reimer starts for the Maple Leafs.

Reimer added another chapter to Toronto's goalie controversy on Saturday. He stopped 37 shots, leading the Maple Leafs to a 4-1 win over the Pittsburgh Penguins. He has now won each of his last two starts while making 35-plus saves. He should make for a good start tonight against the Oilers 18th ranked offence.

James Reimer
Jonathan Bernier the lone goaltender on the ice for today's optional skate. Leads one to believe that James Reimer will start tonight.

Reimer hasn't started since being run into by a teammate on October 17th. In his last full start he allowed just one goal on 37 shots in a win vs. Minnesota. He will be in tough tonight against a great Penguins team.

James Reimer
Just 32 seconds into the game Reimer collided with teammate Josh Leivo and has left the game, replaced by Jonathan Bernier.

It appeared as if Reimer took a knee to the head, and with a history of concussions, that is not good. He was able to skate off under his own power, but went straight to the dressing room. Update to follow.

James Reimer
Reimer is expected to get a second straight start.

Reimer stopped 36 of 37 shots in a 4-1 win over the Wild on Tuesday. After Jonathan Bernier has a streak of four straight starts, Reimer showed that he can still be the number one guy in Toronto. He will get another chance tonight vs. Carolina.

James Reimer gets the call for the Leafs.

This will be Reimer's first start since the home opener on October 5th, he was pulled after allowing four goals on 21 shots. Jonathan Bernier has clearly been the better of the two netminders so far, but a good start from Reimer tonight would go a long way.

James Reimer
With an impressive track record vs. Ottawa, James Reimer gets the start in the home opener tonight.

Reimer looked good in his first start of the season allowing three goals on 37 shots. He is locked into a battle with Jonathan Bernier, who also played very well in his first start. Reimer dominated the Senators last season going 3-0-0 with 1.67 GAA, .960 SV% and one shutout.

James Reimer
James Reimer starts Game 1 for the Maple Leafs.

Reimer went 19-8-5 with a 2.46 GAA and .924 SV% last season and played great in his first career playoff appearance. He was the better of the two goalies in the preseason, thus he starts opening night. He will split time with Jonathan Bernier this season, limiting his value, but behind a good Leafs team he should be able to stockpile a lot of wins.

James Reimer
It sounds like the Maple Leafs plan is for Reimer to start over Bernier tomorrow in Montreal.

We already know that the two are going to split each of the first two games, but for now Reimer is the likely starter for the season opener. Bernier is a native of Quebec, but Reimer has been the better of the two goalies in camp. We will await for the official word, which will come tomorrow. For now consider Reimer "likely".

James Reimer
Reimer vs. Rask in Game 7.

Reimer's playoff legacy continued to grow in Toronto last night. The 25-year-old netminder stopped 29 of 30 shots in the 2-1 win that froced Game 7 tonight in Boston. He has the 12th ranked GAA (2.58) and 8th ranked SV% (.932) in the playoffs. However none of that really matters in a Game 7, anything can happen.

James Reimer
Reimer will start Game 5.

Reimer was peppered yet again in Game 4 when he faced 45 shots. However he allowed four goals including an OT winner to the red-hot David Krejci. The Maple Leafs face elimination in Boston tonight and they will need Reimer to be better than he has ever been. He has a 3.33 GAA (15th/19) and a .914 SV% (11th) to this point.
