Oleksiak has appeared in eight games on defence this season but will draw into the lineup as a fourth line winger on Monday. Oleksiak is expected to play on a line with Martin Hanzal, but the defenseman doesn’t have any fantasy appeal despite the position change.

Oleksiak was a healthy scratch in the last two games, but will get back into the lineup tomorrow in Arizona. Oleksiak has yet to record a point while averaging 16:46 TOI/GM in the first four games of the season. He will replace Julius Honka.
Oleksiak missed Thursday’s game with a hand injury that he suffered on Tuesday and will miss at least three weeks and could be out until late-February/mid-March.
Oleksiak left Tuesday’s game after playing just 6:32 TOI and did not return. Oleksiak could be out for a little bit, so expect Stephen Johns to draw back into the lineup on Thursday.

Oleksiad is not known for his offence though, he had just two assists in 19 games last year and has just 12 points (1G / 11A) in 78 career NHL games.

Oleksiak, 23, was unable to land a full-time spot with the Stars in 2015-16, appearing in just 19 games and eight others with Texas (AHL). The 2011 14th overall pick is a huge body (6’7” / 260 lbs) but doesn’t possess a lot of offensive upside. Oleksiak will push for a regular role on the Stars’ blueline in training camp.

Oleksiak has three goals and two assists in 22 games with Texas this season. He appeared in 16 games on Dallas' blueline last season where he had two assists and a minus-5 rating. He will be fighting with Kevin Connauton for playing time.
The guess is Aaron Rome (foot) is close to returning.
