Halak has had an economical start to the season, stopping 45 of the 48 shots (.938 SV%) that he's faced in his first two starts. On Thursday, he'll take on a Penguins team that has run into injury issues but have still managed to win four of their last five while averaging 3.60 goals per game.
Tuukka Rask started the Bruins season opener but they will turn to Halak in the rematch vs. the Devils. The 35-year-old was outstanding in 2020, going 18-6-6 with a 2.39 GAA, .919 SV% and three shutouts. The Bruins dominated the first meeting, so Halak should be a strong start on Saturday afternoon.

In his 71 appearances, he's gone 40-17-10 while ranking fifth in the NHL in GAA (2.36) and tied for fifth in SV% (.921). The Bruins aren't young between the pipes but the Halak--Tuukka Rask has ranked second in the league in GAA (2.49) over the last two seasons.
