Carter missed Kings practice this morning but is reportedly fine and is expected to play on Thursday vs. the Flames. Nick Shore skated in his spot this morning, so if Carter is unable to go for whatever reason, expect Shore to replace him between Dwight King and Tyler Toffoli.

Carter, who usually plays on ‘That 70’s line’ with Tyler Toffoli and Tanner Pearson, moved to the top-line on Monday with both Toffoli (mono) and Person (broken leg) out indefinitely. Carter is skating with Anze Kopitar and Marian Gaborik, a line that should have no trouble generating offence.
It is believed that Carter took the day off to rest some bumps and bruises after a physical seven-game series vs. the Sharks. Monitor Carter's status as pregame warmups start at 7:30 p.m ET. If he plays expect him to skate on the second line between Tanner Pearson and Tyler Toffoli.
Carter missed the last 10 games with a broken foot. Prior to the injury, he played in 14 games registering five goals and four assists. The 28-year-old sniper had 26 goals in 48 games last season and had a career-high of 46 goals in 2008-09. He can be expected to lead the Kings in goals through the remainder of the season and should be activated in all formats.
Carter missed the last 10 games but could return tonight depending on how warmups go. The Kings offence has missed their premier sniper, but were still able to go 6-1-2 because of strong goaltending. Carter will skate on a line with Dwight King and Mike Richards.
Carter is taking line rushes with Dwight King and Mike Richards in Kings practice this afternoon suggesting he could be in the lineup tonight. We will get an official update after Kings' pre-game skate.
Carter is still considered to be a few days away from returning and will likely need to participate in a few more practices before he plays. If he is unexpectedly activated off of IR and plays tonight, we will update.
Carter has been out since early November and will miss his eighth straight contest tonight. Carter has been wearing a walking boot, so his return to the ice is a very good sign that he is progressing towards a return. The Kings are 5-1-1 without Carter, so they likely won't rush him back.
There were unconfirmed reports that it was a broken foot but Darryl Sutter confirmed it today. A timetable for Carter's return was not given, but he has been ruled out for the remaining three games of their road trip. When a timeframe is released we will update Carter's status.
The Kings have been very vague with Carter's injury details. There was speculation that Carter was dealing with a foot issue and a walking boot certainly solidify that report. A walking boot usually signifies a significant injury so Carter could be out for a extended period of time.
There is very little information on Carter's injury, but he is expected to skate with the team this afternoon and then be placed on IR later. Tyler Toffoli and Linden Vey have been recalled with Carter out. He is tied for the team lead in goals with five.
There is still an injury risk here so beware if you planning to use him for your Playoff Pools.
Carter practicing on the top PP is a great sign. Look for the sniper to be ready on Game 1 despite the consistent obfuscation of head coach Darryl Sutter.
Carter is practicing alongside linemates Dwight King and Mike Richards which is a good sign.
Carter shooting on the side is definitely a good sign. The scoring winger still needs a team practice before he can return.
Carter skating is definitely a good sign. The scoring winger still needs a team practice before he can return.
Carter remains questionable to play over the next week or two. Despite having no structural damage, it appears that his foot will keep him sidelined for a few more games.
Although Carter won't play tonight, it sounds like he hasn't been ruled out to play this week.
Sounds like Carter will miss the next three games. He has six goals and nine points in 16 games with the Kings.
Carter will miss the rest of the week so most head-to-head formats should drop him if they face elimination.
