Fast was banged up in Saturday's game in New Jersey but ended up finishing the game. Head coach David Quinn called him a game-time decision but his lack of offence makes him a low-end fantasy asset regardless.

Fast missed Sunday’s game against the Bruins due to personal reasons but is expected to draw back in on Tuesday. Fast would likely replace Mika Zibanejad, who is questionable with an upper-body issue. Fast has two goals and three assists in eight games this season.
Rangers head coach Alain Vigneault said that Fast has been dealing with a bad groin that will likely keep him out for the final week of the season. Fast had been playing his best hockey of the season as of late, but finishes the year with 33 points (13G / 20A) in 71 games.
Fast suffered the injury in the Rangers shootout loss to the Devils last night. Fast will be out until January and his injury means that Boo Nieves will likely draw back into the lineup on Saturday.
Fast, who underwent offseason hip surgery could be cleared for contact in the next couple of weeks, but is not expected to return to the Rangers lineup until late-October. With Fast out, one of the Rangers’ first-round picks, Lias Andersson and/or Filip Chytil, are expected to make the opening night roster.
