Puljujarvi will miss Saturday’s game against the Islanders and has been moved to IR to open up a roster spot so the Oilers could recall Josh Currie. Puljujarvi is expected to be assigned to Bakersfield (AHL) once he is activated from IR.

Puljujarvi struggled with the Oilers earlier in the year, scoring just one goal in 11 games before being sent down. Since going to the Condors, Puljujarvi registered two goals and two assists in four games.

Puljujarvi has been a healthy scratch for the last four games, but will replace Kailer Yamamoto in the lineup vs. Chicago. Puljujarvi will skate on the third line with Ryan Strome and Milan Lucic and returns to the lineup with one goal on nine shots in seven games.

Puljujarvi has recorded just one goal with a minus-4 rating while playing 12:27 TOI/GM in seven games this season. Drake Caggiula is healthy and will replace Puljujarvi on Thursday.

Puljujarvi has two assists in eight games since being recalled from Bakersfield (AHL) but it looks like he will be scratched tonight in Boston. This seems like a strange decision since the Oilers are looking for offence on the wings and Puljujarvi is one of their most promising wing prospects.

Puljujarvi was listed as a game-time decision for tonight’s game, but he took the ice for warmups and will gut it out in Pittsburgh. The rookie winger has one goal and two assists in 10 games this season. Taylor Beck will be a healthy scratch.

Puljujarvi missed Sunday’s game in Detroit because of a thigh injury, but he has a chance to return to the lineup on Tuesday. Puljujarvi is listed as a game-time decision, so monitor his status when the Oilers hit the ice for warmups at 6:30 p.m. ET.

Puljujarvi has one goal and five shots while averaging 10:51 TOI in the first three games of his NHL career. Puljujarvi will be replaced by Anton Slepyshev tonight.
