Anderson was acquired from the Devils this offseason in a trade that sent Andreas Johnsson the other way. After sitting as a healthy scratch for the first seven games of the season, Anderson will replace Alexander Barabanov on the fourth line on Tuesday. Anderson was a third-round pick in 2016 and has scored 15 goals with 19 assists (34 points) in 44 AHL games this season. He had seven points (3G / 4A) in 34 NHL games with the Devils last season.
Anderson has been out with a broken ankle since November 21st but will replace Miles Wood on Saturday. Anderson had one goal and one assist (two points) in 11 games before getting injured.
Anderson broke his ankle against Montreal on November 21st and will miss an extended period of time after undergoing surgery. With Anderson out, Michael McLeod was recalled from Binghamton (AHL).
Anderson made his NHL debut on Saturday because Marcus Johansson was out with an illness, but with Johansson back he will sit tonight in Tampa Bay.
Anderson was a third round pick of the Devils (No. 73 overall) in 2016 and turned pro this season after his sophomore season at the University of Minnesota-Duluth. Anderson has collected five points (2G / 3A) in eight games with Binghamton this season and will make his NHL debut because Marcus Johansson is out with an illness. Anderson will skate on the fourth line with Kevin Rooney and Brian Boyle.
