Babcock said Gustavsson will start tomorrow.

After Howard was a very late scratch on Thursday, the Monster gets another crack at the Bruins. Despite losing Game 4, it's tough to put any blame on goaltending and the Wings should have a good opportunity to win with Gustavsson in net.

Gustavsson is reportedly dealing with a minor issue and won't dress as the back-up tonight. Howard will be backed-up by Jordan Coreau who was recalled on Thursday.

Gustavsson allowed five goals on 26 shots in a loss to the Canadiens on Saturday. The win snapped a three-game winning streak for The Monster. The Wings need one point to clinch a playoff spot, but it won't come easy tonight in Pittsburgh.

Gustavsson stopped 26 of 28 shots in a 3-2 win over the Lightning last Sunday. Jimmy Howard has really turned things around lately, which has limited The Monster's starts. However, Gustavsson has been solid when called upon this season, going 16-4-3 with a 2.53 GAA and .912 SV% in 24 starts. He made 30 saves in a 4-1 win over Montreal the only time he faced them this season.

Gustavsson allowed four goals on 25 shots in a win over the Devils on March 7. He has not played in the last 12 games, but will start in a crucial game tonight vs. the Lightning. The Monster is 15-4-3 with a 2.54 GAA and.912 SV% this season. He makes for a reasonable Sunday spot-start.

Gustavsson has missed the last five games with a groin injury, but will return to his back-up role tonight. The Red Wings are going to lean on Jimmy Howard down the stretch, but should he falter, Gustavsson will be there to pick up the slack.

Gustavsson stopped 37 of 38 shots in a win over the Senators last Thursday. The Red Wings are coming off of a disappointing OT loss to the Avs last night, so Gustavsson will look to right the ship tonight vs. the Devils. The Wings blew a third period lead against New Jersey on Tuesday, they will look to finish things out with two points tonight with 'The Monster' between the pipes.

Gustavsson stopped all eight shots before departing with dizziness vs. the Canucks on Feb. 3. 'The Monster' is 13-4-3 with a 2.55 GAA .911 SV% this season. Tonight marks his second start against the Senators this season, he stopped 30 of 32 shots in a 4-2 win in December.

Gustavsson will practice Wednesday and make the trip to Florida. He left after the first period in Monday’s 2-0 victory over Vancouver.

“He was dizzy, light-headed,” GM Ken Holland said. “Shortly after the game he was feeling back to normal. He’ll practice tomorrow and make the trip. No need to call anyone up.”

Gustavsson gave up five goals on 28 shots in a 5-0 loss to the Flyers on Tuesday. 'The Monster' finished January with a 2-1-1 record, 3.36 GAA and .893 SV%. He has not been great as of late, but draws a good matchup tonight vs. a Canucks team who have lost three in a row.

Despite Jimmy Howard being activated on Monday, 'The Monster' will make his fourth straight starts will Howie gets some more rest. He will need to be in top-form tonight with the Red Wings without Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen and Henrik Zetterberg vs. the Flyers.

Gustavsson stopped 30 of 31 shots in a 4-1 win over the Canadiens on Friday. That is two in a row for 'The Monster' while posting a 2.40 GAA and .924 SV%. He enters Sunday's contest 13-3-2 with a 2.39 GAA and .916 SV% this season and 1-1-0 vs. the Panthers.

Gustavsson did not look all that comfortable in his first start in nearly a month, but he stopped 31 of 35 shots in regulation and OT including four of six shootout attempts in Wednesday's 5-4 shootout win. Friday he faces a Habs team who have lost three of their last four while being outscored 16-10.

It will be Gustavsson's first start since December 28. He stopped 30 of 33 shots in a win over the Panthers that night, but missed the next nine games with a groin injury. On Wednesday he will be in tough with the Blackhawks in town, but he could be the Wings starter for the foreseeable future with Jimmy Howard possibly out for at least one week.

The groin injury may open the door for Jimmy Howard to return to the Detroit net. While he's provided consistent goaltending up to this point, the severity of the groin injury could put his fantasy value at risk.
