Blum will slide into the lineup tonight in Detroit because Clayton Stoner did not make the trip after suffering an injury yesterday. Blum has no points in his first four games with the Wild this season. However, in Iowa he has seven goals and 22 assists (29 points) which is tied for second on the team in scoring.
Blum recorded no points and two shots in four games with the Wild. He will return to Iowa and play tonight and could find himself recalled shortly. However this could also suggest that Jared Spurgeon is nearing activation from IR.

It’s unclear who will come out of Nashville’s lineup to make room for Blum, though by practice lines it seemed Ellis was the odd defenseman out.
Blum was serving as the seventh/eighth defender and heads back to the minors to stay fresh.
