Korpisalo allowed four goals on 37 shots in the Blue Jackets win in St. Louis on Thursday. Korpisalo has won each of his first three starts this season, despite posting a below average 3.29 GAA and .898 SV%. He continues to steal starts from Sergei Bobrovsky and makes for a decent option against the 25th ranked offence in the NHL (2.60 GF/PG).

Korpisalo gave up four goals on 41 shots in the Blue Jackets win in Florida on October 11th. Korpisalo has won each of his two starts this season, allowing six goals on the 61 shots (.902 SV%) that he has faced. Tonight he faces his third start against a Blues team that is currently tied for 16th in the NHL in scoring (3.13 GF/PG).

The Blue Jackets open their season with a back-to-back in Detroit and Carolina, so they will save Sergei Bobrovsky for the home opener and the tougher matchup. The 23-year-old has gone 5-2-0 with a 2.27 GAA and .931 SV% in eight games on home-ice.

With Sergei Bobrovsky (illness) not available tonight, Korpisalo will face the Golden Knights on home-ice. The matchup isn’t ideal, but the 23-year-old has gone 4-2- 0 with a 2.47 GAA and .924 SV% at Nationwide Arena this season.

Korpisalo has regularly made the trip to Cleveland this season to stay sharp when Sergei Bobrovsky is starting in Columbus. The 23-year-old has gone 2-4-1 with a 2.15 GAA and .928 SV% in seven starts with the Monsters and is 5-5-0 with a 2.97 GAA and .910 SV% in 11 games with Columbus.
