Binnington will start Game 1 in Winnipeg.

Binnington did not make his first start until January 7th. At that time, the Blues were 29th in the NHL at 16-19-4. After that point, Binning led the NHL in wins (24), second in GAA (1.83) and sixth in SV% (.930) and the Blues were the best team in hockey, going 29-9-5. The 25-year-old obviously has no playoff experience but has been one of the best goalies in the NHL over the last three and a half months, giving the Blues a great chance of pulling off a first round upset.

Binnington will start Tuesday vs. the Coyotes.

Binnington allowed four goals on 27 shots in the Blues win in Anaheim last Wednesday. Jake Allen started the last two games but they will come back to Binnington tonight vs. Arizona. Binnington has been great this season but has been mediocre in his last five outings—going 3-2-0 with a 2.41 GAA, .902 SV% and one shutout. He posted a 21-save shutout in his first start vs. the Coyotes, who come in on a back-to-back, after losing 7-1 in Chicago last night.

Binnington will start Wednesday in Anaheim.

Binnington allowed three goals on 20 shots in the Blues loss to the Stars on Saturday. It was a rare bad game for Binnington, who leads the NHL in GAA (1.68) and SV% (.933) through 19 starts and two relief appearances. Being one of the NHL’s hottest goaltenders and having a matchup with a Ducks team that has just seven wins in their last 32 games, makes Binnington one of the best options on Wednesday.
